So if someone does not mention a players name in the text of a post  AND

no names are shown in a battle replay on that post HOW

is it possible to be cited/receive a strike for naming and shaming?

-

Would love an explanation, as I don't see how it's possible given the text of the rule:

2. No naming and Shaming

In-game rule violations should be reported using the in-game function directly.

Avoid:

  • Accusing others of being toxic in-game
  • Accusing others of malicious activity
  • Accusing others of cheating or using illegal services
  • Accusing others of trolling on the forums
  • Claiming to have "reported" someone

-

Is there a newer version of the rules I'm not aware of?

-

Also, how/why is it that we 'could' receive a 'strike' for naming and shaming if we post a game replay that has the names showing BUT it's totally legit to post the replays on WG's own WOTReplays, - where all the names are totally showing, and post links to said replays here in the forums?

-

To be absolutely clear, the sole purpose of this post is to help me (and hopefully others) understand exactly what the rules are and aren't.

-

Would love to have someone from WG dive in and really explain this rule.

-

Thank you in advance for any clarity you might provide.

Stop making stupid posts and you won't risk receiving strikes. It's as simple as that. Save us all the trouble k?

I'm NOT SURE you've helped anyone understand the question.

Oh... So that's how that guy who posted Lemmings video got banned...

Funny because the video isn't accusing the player of anything, it's physically showing the player incriminating themselves...

I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about another user... I guess they didn't know the full rules on Name and Shame...

Those rules look ridiculous.  Like something I would expect to read for a childrens game listed as: "For ages 5-10."
