To be fair I only buy paint when it's on sale.  While yes it very much is nice, it's in no way needed to perform well.

Too bad then, I do not mind.

Nothing you say will never hold anything of value.

Or nothing you do even, unfortunate.

That is what you will live with, my friend.

Now be quiet and crawl back to your hole,

where you came from.

No one is interested to see you starting arguments.

Now is some one?

it has a great skill multiplier.  A good player can do terrific things in it most of the time.  A poor player will absolutely potato in it.

I'm running my normal German TD crew in mine, once you get a full camo crew with paint and a net on that thing, it's flipping invisible!  I've been mostly starting my games with passive scouting when I can, throwing in the occasional shot when I'm sure I can't be spotted in response. I think this thing is a better scout than most lights!  Then, later in the match when I've still got my HP, I can go clean up survivors from range with comfortable ease.

Sadly, on city maps I haven't figured out how to make it perform yet.  Overall, I'm really liking it!

It's going to be a better scout than most scouts because it can use better crews than what most T6 and 7 LTs will have and there's the question on if the player has bothered to put equipment on their LT.  If one has equal crew and equipment then the LT is going to have better VR and on par camo while moving, but the E25 will win in concealment while in bush and when firing.

Personally I view the E25 as an LT that has basically traded a turret for pref-MM and bonus concealment when firing.

Makes sense. My crew is no great shakes, just starting their third skill, but it seems to be enough to out spot most things.  If I can get into a shrubbery and get my net and binos out, I can light a pretty decent area. I'm really tempted to go optics, though. I move too much to really get the best out of my usual net/binos TD equipment.

I love these threads. As a long time E-25 owner, it cracks me up. It is a fragile tank, and needs played carefully. However, I do enjoy farming all the new E-25 players that bought into the hype.

I enjoy doing this and I bought the death weasel yesterday. Hilarious watching noobs try to scout with 50% crews and no turret.

I run vents/rammer/net.  While this leaves me with only a 375VR It means I have 2.48sec reload and 65% camo while stationary.  It also means I have 23% camo while stationary and firing.  If you want to go the scouting route then I would likely take binos over optics as it will let you better spot your own targets and for others if you don't fire.  The downside is that the net gives over 15% camo when stationary and over 5% when stationary+firing.  The Binocs would let my E25 hit 469VR while stationary while Optics only push it out to 412m and thus unable to hit the max spotting range of 445m (anything over 445m simply helps to further cut through enemy camo rating).

But I don't run optics or binocs since I find at the T7-8 range that the E25 sees the 375VR is enough for me in the majority of situations and the net lets me play up my invisi-tank strength better.

I don't care if folks buy it...just stop flooding the field with roaches already.

It'll settle out in a few days.  This always happens when something goes on sale.  Defenders, Chryslers, E25s, heck, even TOGs.  Everyone has to play with the new toy, till the novelty wears off and they realize the "OP Super Ninja Assassin" is just another tank with a tricky play style and they still suck....   By the weekend there will probably be a lot fewer of them around.

The E-25 has been a pain in my [edited]for years. So I bought one. Only premium I have ever bought. In time, when I get it equipped and ready, I'll be a pain for others.

Thanks for the pointers! I'm running vents, net, binoculars right now, myself. Seems to really work well for the early passive scout roll, with the paint and camo crew. The reload is already pretty quick, which is why I opted vents over rammer.

The thought occurs that most (not all though) of the people complaining about E25s tend to be those with relatively few battles, and those battles are often fairly recent.

Could this be in part because in the last year or so, the game has become much less about the battle for vision, and more and more about slugging it out in brawls i.e. people have either forgotten (or never learned in the first place) about vision mechanics and how to deal with them?

The E25 is really fragile, once you have it spotted, but people seem to be struggling with spotting it. For example, I gave mine a quick run-out last night, with a wholly inappropriate crew (several herberts from my Jagdzilla i.e. no camo!) and no camo net, and still I spent a lot of time not spotted. If there is an E25 on the opposing side, the aim should be to get it lit, and keep it lit, until it's reduced to a pair of metaphorical smouldering boots.

Logged on last night,  first battle five E-25's on each side! Parked in a bush and I didn't have to wait long. Full speed they charged right into us like fools. In three minutes the only one left was mine, still in my bush. I felt like a unicum.

As others have said, these guys had no idea how to play it.

It was so funny seeing 3-6 noobs running around the battlefield crazy trying to take out heavy tanks... hilarious... most will stop playing it instead of learning the correct way to play it. :child:

A lot of people aren't smart enough in this game to understand that its all about inches and seconds and crew training/equipment/camo is very important in those equations. 4% camo can mean the difference between being spotted and getting an early exit or being unspotted and getting a mastery badge.
