Hello everyone.

 

Remember when we had 1v1s, 3v3s, 5v5s, things like that? I want them back.

I miss being able to get together a team of good friends and battle others for gold. I miss being able to create videos about our tournaments, all the good and bad matches. They were great fun. 

I also need gold. I simply can not spend money on the game at the moment, so my gold relies on TankRewards, gifts, mission rewards, and destroying "Sheriffs (WG employees)", and most prominently, TOURNAMENTS.

 

The problem is that over the past several months, the WoT website has not displayed any classic tournaments, such as the types listed above. I check at least 1 time a week and all I saw was a 7v7 tournament. but that was going to last all week, so I could not commit to it. I want to see those tournaments that last around an hour and a half or two hours, so that I can gather some friends and actually compete with others.

This is a really pressing issue for me and if I'm being honest, the game is starting to get boring without tournaments.

If Dance210 was still running them we would still have them.These new people working for WGNA aren't worth spit.They should start cleaning house starting with the Meathead, Tragic, Cabbage and Quesa.Nough said

I’m a newer player and never got to participate in one but out of what my clan mates say they were fun so I also think watgaming should bring them back

Well said ifti91901.  I played in almost every community tournament that didn't conflict for several years.  WG you really do need to level with this community.  Are you bringing tournaments back or not and if so, when?

They're never coming back, at best there will be a couple big tournaments a year and that's it, that is the current WG plan.

Not true, Dance was working for WG when the tournaments where cut back by removing skirmishes, and she was working for WG when they where cut away entirely, Dance had almost no control over the tournaments her job was to just schedule pre approved tournaments and setup payouts.

 

The removal of tournaments is what cause me and a ton of people I used to play with to stop playing the game.

Over the last couple of years there have been plenty of indications that WoT is a dying game, but nothing drove that home to me more effectively than Tournaments being canceled. This is a competitive team game, so canceling the most team-competitive game mode makes no sense at all from any other perspective.

 

At about the same time, the number of servers was reduced on one, and WG needed four months to fix the "in our face" bug that seriously disabled team communication (the Contact List bug). Plus, of course, the ongoing greed of the deluge of power-creeped (galloped) Prems.

 

Since the tournaments were killed, my game play rate has reduced more than 90%, and my $-to-WG rate has reduced to zero. I can see the writing on the wall.

I really cant understand why the person who decide about the tournaments want the tournament system down. 
There´s a lot of people who play that tournaments and now a big portion of this people already move from the game. Like my entire clan.

 

We play every tournament but when the tournament system was shut down the players start to fly to another games. No interest in play just random battles.
Have your team and play with people that you trust is a lot more fun than random battles. Sadly i dont think the tournaments will ever come back.

Just look right now... like 10 days ago finish the autum classic... So far they not pay the prizes... this people dont even care about any player.

They new tournament admins are a joke. My team has still not received the gold payout from the fall classic. Based on what ive read they will not be returning. You can pm me and if my team has openings for the large tournaments id be happy to help you. In game name is Battlewagon76

Well just to add my 2 cents. The in game activity of my clans members has dropped from about 40 on weekly to about 7. The clan was formed and centered around weekly tournament play. We have had as many as 5 teams participating in one tournament. Some of the members that have gone inactive will never come back to the game. Some have told me that they would if tournaments returned. And some active members have told me that they are looking for others games now and i am in that group. I have already committed to not renewing my premium account when it runs out unless tournaments return in some form.

 

 It may look like the monetization person has done their job but that is the short view. The long view is that the rapid reduction of active players is a direct result of lack of tournaments and other new WG financial strategies and will result in considerable reductions in new sales within the next year.

 

So in short WG you are losing more money due to the lack of tournaments than you have saved and it will get worse.

I have sent the person in WOT, who ran last tournament  a message a bout the pay out from last tourney, I have yet to recite an answer. This pathetic From a company that is trying to make money.

I have to agree with several of the posters. 1v1 tournaments kept me involved in the game - the highlight of my week and a great distractor from work.  It was an interesting challenge to brush up on a tank class or tier and select the right tank or tanks over the preceding week.  Then, to pick the equipment and decide on strategies.  Since those have gone (and our clan skirmish invites have become few and non-existent), I have been spending all of my time with Warships.

 

Sure do miss those 1v1's...
