Today I came across this video and I found it just crazy. Someone had live streamed their cheating with about 200 viewers and they are not banned? Also being a CO of a clan... that would just lead me to believe this clan things it's completely acceptable to cheat since the CO is doing it.

I am personally against ALL forms of mods and would rather WG not let any mods be allowed at all. To me that just seems like the best and easiest way to help reduce cheating in the game. I don't run any mods at all cause I feel the way the game ships (downloads) is how the creators intended the game to be played and I will play it this way.

But anyway lol I hope this thread gets attention cause I for one would like to see people like the fellow dandy in this video removed from the game and to top it off, that clan should not be able to participate in this current event.

I watched a vid once of a guy doing 10 k damage and not scoping in on one shot.Even one shot looked like it went over the horizon for a kill. This was 2 years ago. That W G continues to leave the mod door open and allow cheaters is totally on W G.They know this is possible yet they allow it.Token bans only mean they will make another account and means we have to play with cheaters who if caught, only get caught after cheating.W G needs a lesson but sadly the player base doesnt stand together being tied to their wallets.

You are very late to this party... also, how are you sure that the perpetrator was not banned for 7 days ?

Do you have any proof he hasn't been banned or is not soon going to be banned ?

A 7 day ban is the punishment for a first offense of using illegal mods.

WG will never say, or make an announcement about banning an individual as that has always been their rule.

Privacy issues, you know.

I certainly hope he gets what is coming to him in spades, but I see no reason to go after WG with torches and pitchforks when there is so little factually known about what has occurred AFTER this twitch stream took place.

The lynch mob mentality of some people on this forum is just stupid.

They only ban players for using the free versions of illegal mods, the paid versions seem to be immune to WG's wrath.....

Oh btw, here is something to consider, this thread will be deleted and you will get a forum strike just for posting this, but the cheater will continue to go unpunished.

You're right, only WG would know what "if" anything happened at all. But the point of this isn't particularly to blame or go after WG. They can only do so much but it's to get more attention on that matter at hand. And to show the community that it is real and it really does happen. For me this also shows a clan that tarnishes it's reputation. I don't see this as a "good" clan anymore after this video. I just see cheaters, cause it only takes one person to ruin it for everyone.

Proof is in the fact that said paid illegal mod pack is still thriving.

I can't tell you what to do or not do, i can't tell you what to check or what not to check.

But, i can tell you that if you do check, that you will confirm my statements.

I didn't see anyone on this thread deny there is cheating.  Of course there is cheating, WG admits that they have banned thousands of cheaters in recent months.

What company wants to ban paying customers ? None. They allow mods, if some are illegal oh well, the game's not legit but we're still here.

I've recently come to the opinion that those news updates are mostly fluff (regarding the perma bans, I buy the temp ban thing) and the only real bans that occur are due to community backlash, as is the case with the AD guys.

If you raise a stink, the target gets banned.  If you don't, he might get a temp ban, but otherwise will remain.

I've gone from against to on the fence regarding doing away with mods, mostly due to the recent events.  I am still unconvinced that cheating is prolific, but I do not deny that cheating is a thing.

Nah, those updates are real.

Those are the players who are using the free versions of the illegal mods, that don't require a premium account to use.

That bit annoys me, pay or no, the rules should apply the same.

Yes I do and if I googled it I could find sites promoting cheat mods... that in no way is proof for your statement:

"They only ban players for using the free versions of illegal mods, the paid versions seem to be immune to WG's wrath....."

_Tsavo at least said "I've recently come to the opinion..." and therefore does not purport that what he opines is fact.
