this man, chieftain would be great. Why does console have it, but PC doesn't?

Love takes time (and lots of fertilizer composed of Dev sweat and tears). One branch entering testing doesn't mean another line isn't in the works.
While I understand that one thing entering testing doesnt mean other things arent also being worked on, even within the same team, I have to question the wisdom of announcing another new Russian heavy line right now.
You still havent given us the Chieftain, despite it being modeled in the current live client and already being fairly well balanced and jerked the player base around with it for years. There are enough US mediums to give us an entire second line from like tier 6 probably, in addition many would like to see the M60A1 (and both the M60A2 Starship and MBT-70 as well) You could be trying to give us British lights. Or expanding on the Swedish tree by giving us tier 8 9 and 10 mediums to make the Primo Victoria (or the normal Strv 81 if you would actually sell it) a purpose beyond just grinding credits.
But telling us about another 3 heavy tanks coming to what is already one of the most packed tech trees in the game? That seems a little tone deaf on WGs part, regardless of whatever else is in the pipeline.
the object 705 was amusingly enough suggested on forums back in 2013

Yay, more tanks that I have to gold spam at.
Yay, when I am playing these new tanks, I will get gold spammed to death.

Why do we need another branch of heavy tanks, especially superheavies? They're damaging enough to gameplay, we don't need more of them.
And a Soviet branch? It doesn't bring anything new or different to the game. It seems unnecessary, redundant and just bad for the quality of gameplay. But I guess this is the path the game is going down...
Agreed
Just because they bring more heavies doesn't mean players will choose to play more HTs. They may not even be researched. I skipped a couple of lines that I never want to try.
This is simply about adding more choices, a different style of Soviet HTs.
As for originality, people with so many models in game already how original can you possibly be at this time. This is the obvious consequence of a maturing game. You cannot expect all new models to be have significant differences, not after so many models have been added already. It is simply another flavor, nothing more or less.
As for so many Soviets:
1) Clearly Soviets did a lot of designs, probably the most in the world
2) Clearly they have the best access to their own source material
So why would you be surprised that there are so many Soviet models in the game??? Duh
I don't see this as good or bad, game breaking or any such nonsense. It is just more choice. Ignore it if you hate them.
They still have weak/flat side and back armor so not much difference when flanking IS-3 or these new HTs.
So, Q.....
I read the stuff, but I can't Math. Is there a breakdown somewhere of percentages of Nation's tanks ingame ? As in % of Russian tanks vs entire game ? Or other stuff that might show that the imbalance in the game is clearly the Soviet Bias ?
.
Maybe a version of WoT without ALL the Russian tanks ? Maybe balance the GAME by balancing the # of each NATIONS tanks ingame ?
Once upon a time there were NOT that many tanks to choose from. <<<
I kinda think it was easier to assimilate, because the tanks required thought to choose the right lines / Nations.
I think the game was great Back Then because it WAS fun, and kinda challenging as well.
You HAD to L2P or you didn't last long. Tanks blowing up @ start of game @ cap circle cause bailed on the battle.
Each Nation had strengths unlike other Nations. View range = USA. Camo = Russian. Etc.
Used to be, the release of a Frikkin New Tank was like, OMG.......... Now, more like Who Cares ???
The Challenge today seems to be picking the most OP Tier X before it gets nerfed.
