Good games SNPR, LOL that poor IS4, betchya feel like a Thug now, his language wasnt English & he was stuck lmao.
Still, great win, awesome CQB when you only had 61 hit points, you got the ball rolling with your charge, enemy must of thought you were insane lol.
Shame the guys didnt go for Maus & capped instead, Maus killing is rightous.
On my game with the 704 I was on TS with arty, he was zoomed in waiting & knew where I would stop them, I backed off when arty told me too so he didnt splash or hit me, ahh good times.
JagdTiger Worth the Grind?

Mow_Mow,
Great games again only thing i can see alot of the time you line up someone zoomed in then just as you are about to shoot you unzoom and you shoot but you miss some shots that would hit easy if they move just even
a little bit when you do that there is a chance that it will not pen or miss all together, the Ez8 at the start would have been a one shot, then the commander hach shot miss on the KV-5 and the same for the T28 at the end
i would just try and stay on target till you know it's either dead or you have hit first but very nice work.

Its a habit from my medium tank days. I am insanely paranoid about situational awareness (what is around me) so I fire in sniper view and then go to third person right away. Seems like my keyboard/mouse coordination is off
teamoldmill - I agree, the JT just needs a little bit more. But I don't think it should be alpha. Either get rid of the frontal transmission, increase traverse, or increase view range or something like that. I don't want a German 704, if I wanted a 704 I would have gotten a 704.

But yes I think its a habit I should curb on my JT a little

I am kind of the same way in my JT. The instant I click fire I zoom out unless I know I am safe via the mini map.
I agree. I think Alpha is overrated at times. The faster ROF of the JT has saved me in situations that I would be dead in my 704 and T95.
Here is my average damage poer match and average damager per hit stats as of today in all 3 T9 TDs...
Per match\ Per Hit
JT) 2,853.7 \ 362.5
704) 2,858.1 \ 476
T95) 3,177.5 \ 406.9
So basically... There is not a HUGE difference in per hit alpah damage between the 3 tanks. When you compare the average damage you can see that alpha really does not matter in the grand scheme of things.
I would like to see a view range increase and a penetration buff for the JT.

SealTeam:
Awesome job on the Mice lol. Next time though, when you are head on, shoot at the indent in between their tracks. You were aiming up high on a few of the shots. It was fun watching the first one burn to death lol great work.
Sniper:
Cliff- Good match. With the MAus at the end I would have aimed for his rear rather than his side. Other than that nice work.
Karelia:Amazing job with the CQB action lol. Face-huggin saves teh day again! I guess I am giving too many of my secrets away lol. When I saw you drive up I was saying out loud
"face-hug him, ok now use the blown up VK as cover, now track that t34, now face hug him" lol. Great job buddy

T95: used to be .37, now .38
Jagtiger: used to be .31, now .33
OBj704: used to be .34, now .39
Found this on the common test server thread. Apparently the stats we see in game reflect a crew at 133%. The Devs decided to change this to 100%. Notice the gap widening between the JT and the 704. That seems a lot more realistic based upon my experiances with the two TDs.

Of course, you waste more potential damage with the 704 when attacking a really low health target.

T95 used to 0.33, actually. T30's 155mm was 0.35 (0.7.0). JT's accuracy is 0.29.
Also the way accuracy works as a radius and percentages, it doesn't decrease linearly. But 0.29 -> 0.33 (0.04) and 0.34 -> 0.39 (0.05), so the 704's accuracy "decreases" more, as expected.

I've had this tank for a long time now and honestly I can't stand it. When I play my Ferdy I feel like a king of destruction, a fire breathing dragon, but when I get in my JT I suddenly just feel like a mewling kitten that is going to get curb stomped.
For me the gun is ridiculously inaccurate, it bounces rounds constantly and the front armor is a wet paper bag soaked in diesel fuel. Every singe penetrating shot either kills a crewman or causes mod damage or fire. I can't even remember a single time my ferdy ever caught on fire... in fact I'm not sure it ever has. The JT, for me, is utter crap. For a Tier 9 TD I would much rather have the 704 or T95 any day after seeing what beasts they can be on the battlefield.

There is a real learning curve to the JT. You cannot play it like any other TD in the German tree. The 704 and the T95 are much much easier to play so there are more people that are good with them. This is why the JT has such a bad rep. I dunno how you are having so many problems with the JT cannon... It does more damage, has a higher penetration, and better accuracy than the Ferdi 128. Maybe you should post some replays on here for us to take a look at. We are here to help, no bs, no epeen measuring. We just want to make every JT driver better.
Welcome to the thread

I think the T95 is harder to play than a JT. You have absolutely no room for mistakes, one wrong move and you are dead. At least with the JT you can back out. And you are less of an arty magnet.
But then again, I've been playing US heavy tanks for a long time, so maybe it wasn't so hard for me... your mileage may vary
and JT is not as huge of an improvement over the Ferdi as the Ferdi is over the Jagdpanther, that might be part of the issue.

I found it to be pretty easy to be honest. I play it like a Maus a lot of the times...a very slow Maus lol.
Speaking of the T95, here is a match I had in it from tonight...

Just read this about the 7.2 patch...
"Fixed or reworked visual models of IS, IS-7, T34, Panther II, А-20, Т-127, IS-3, ISU-152, AMX 40, B1, M3 Stuart, VK 1602, AMX 13 90, JagdTiger, JagdPanther.
Following tanks resized according to historical dimensions: IS-3, IS-4, IS-7, ISU-152, Object 704, S-51."
I wonder what they did to the JT visual model. I also am curious just how much they shrunk the 704. For some reason closed beta players cannot get into the test servers right now. Can anyone get in and take a look at the JT model and let me know if they notice anything?

First off sorry to you Sealteam6 after i watched your game again m8 you are spot on it was in my open the eye's section lol nice game m8.
Mow_Mow,
All good m8 with a heap of enemy's around it would come in handy but with single targets it's easier to focus more and make sure it does hit and pen,i found myself trying it out in 2 of these videos
below lol but i will go back to my normal style i miss some shots i would normally not miss but ahh was a bit of a laugh trying anyway
.
Death187,
Cheers m8 on the Maus after watching it again was thinking the same thing will hit him in the rear next time lol sounds dirty, and lol yeah with that many hp left i knew my front was only going to save me from
that point on so i just thought come at me bro! lol and as Sealteam6 said got a bit of insane going as well and went at them.On your game on Campinovka unreal arty shot m8 nothing you can do about that
only hope you can see him another day and return the one shot favor.
and i will check you videos out when i get a chance m8 just went through a heap i had on here on my hd and then after logging in here i find you have posted a few more lol but i will get back to you on them.
Thought i would put in 3 more for you all,
1st is just to show we are all human, make mistakes and can't always play perfect or how we like i make a crazy shot at the start then i needed to push with the Ferdi and another tank after watching it
again i can see that but i don't at the time in this game and as you can see a bad game for me http://www.mediafire...aloug8j7e9eh0ps
and these last 2 are just one of them nights where everything is going well on Abbey and the Dorf lol

Yeah, it was one of the first things I looked at - I can't really tell any difference actually between JT's. Could be really minor, the only difference I saw in the IS7's model other than size at first was the gun muzzle was reworked. Then I discovered the left turret viewports were blocked off and taken out of the hitbox...that made me angry, I was stuck in a facehug assuming that those were still targets like in 7.1.
The Object doesn't really feel like a much smaller target, but the IS7 is considerably smaller btw.
The new 'clutch braking;' skill seems like the most useful new skill for TD's since it increases turning speed, but I'm having trouble figuring out how much of a difference it makes - I'm guessing it's probably 2-3 degrees/sec @ 100%.
I picked up the T95 in the test server, and I have to agree with Mow_Mow, I think it's a lot harder to play than the JT - simply because it's too easy get into the wrong spot and then you can't get out of it fast enough.
The T30's really shaping up to be a good tier 9 TD, but the 0.5 lower RoF verses the 704 means that open field the JT, 704, or T95 will rip it to shreds. The T30 is for the canny player who can keep it out of fire for 20 seconds reliably. Dispersion is better but not amazing.
I have some JT and T95 replays, but they're in the 7.2 format.

Maybe I just play too much in my TDs before I got the T95 then. I really think it is fairly easy, at least for me, to play. It is too slow for you to get into too much trouble with it. Jt is still my favorite though lol.
Clutch breaking sounds pretty good. Anything to increase the turning rate is a plus.
How is the turret traverse in the T30 now?

Two more games for you guys. These are from this morning.
1) In this match I play some JT peak-a-boo and find a new armor hole in the IS4 that I did not know about lol.
http://www.mediafire...hqjffgcsv4tsrjj
2) In this match I started off as base defense but saw a chance to go agressive. It paid off huge for the team. Notice I kill the IS4 with that new armor hole I sutbled upon in the first match.

I have to get some work done so I will check out your replays tonight Sniper.

Turret is 18/sec, but the other mobility stats are the same as the T10 T30 - 860 horses, 24/sec tracks, 35 kph. Def most mobile of the non-704 TDs. And it still has -10 degrees depression, which wouldn't be so huge to me except I'm really feeling the -8 on the new heavies - the T30 is more fun to drive right now.
#1459 Posted Mar 12 2012 - 16:55
Yeah, search me as to why, but the gun hole is a weakspot on IS4s. I think it's the only tank with this problem - at least German tanks will only take gun damage.
This explains why IS4s are prone to getting their gun knocked out a few times in a match.
As for the T95 issues, part of it was that by the time 8 pm EST hits, the test server teams get really, really derpy (pop is under 4000, from 36k around 11 am EST), and I haven't gotten a small/contained map with it yet, just Malinovka and El Halluf. Guess I have yet to see its real strengths.
Do you have a copy of the 7.2 client? If so, I'll get some replays up so you can judge the new turning skill for yourself.

Sure feel free to message them to me or post them. I have the client installed but I cannot login to the server. There is a problem that closed beta testers are having with the test server. WG waid they were looking into it. With the server going down tomorow looks like I will just have to wait to play anything lol.
Edit: Oh btw guys here is a website a buddy of mine just found. http://www.site.ww2m...lica_Tanks.html That's right... they will build you a perfect replica of all German tanks, including the JT! Feel free to donate money to my papal account
