My funniest medal was a Raider Medal in my tier 7 Panther on Siegfried line, AND I was in the field AND got one kill to boot.

When I got it, after the battle, I went wthis this medal. When I read it I couldn't believe it.

Sniper in derp KV-2

High Caliber in M3 Stuart

I think if you would go with fully trained crew to tier 3 battles, with your skill, you would farm pools much more easily, because with Kolobanov you have way more to worry about at the same. I was so close to Pools, and twice, as I reloaded with less than a milli-sec left for final blow, some other dude killed enemy. One was so enraging because my stupid shell bounced.... grrrrrr

I have four Kolobanov's medals, but can't really remember them. One was in an E25, that one I remember.

Another difficult rank to get is "Cold-Blooded" (destroy two enemy light tanks within 100m while driving an SPG), of which I have four as well.

I have only gotten two of those.  Both by accident.  And I hadn't expected to get either when the battle ended.  The first time was in an Archer, where I did, indeed, wipe out most of the enemy myself.  But there was one enemy tank still listed as time ran out.  I assumed it was going to be a draw.  I ended up getting the victory and the medal because the remaining tank had been disconnected somehow, and was not considered to be in the game.  The second one was in the tier 5 Swedish TD, capping out on Fjords.  My last team mate got nailed as he pulled on to the cap, but I had enough cap points to get it over 100 while the enemy was reloading.  I had 6 tier 6 heavies and TDs bearing down to squash me like a bug.  5 more seconds and I would have been a grease stain in the cap circle.  I was incredibly surprised to see the Kolobanov's medal at the end.

I have only managed one Pool's medal in that same time frame.  And that one was more of a matter of things just lining up right.  I kept trying to catch up with the running fight going on in front of me on Karkov.  I would get to each skirmish just in time for the seriously weakened enemy tank to finish off my team mate.  I would put a round into them and try to go help the next team mate up ahead.  Wash, rinse, repeat.  That was much more a matter of luck and bad timing than anything else.  And while I like that I got that medal, I would have much preferred to have gotten there in time to save the other people on my team.  I felt bad that I got one of the more difficult medals to get by basically bayonetting the wounded, after failing to rescue the other players.

I've only gotten a single Pools but I've earned multiple Kolobanov's (as in actually killed people, not simply be a 1v5 in assault with the time expiring, which I've had happen as well).  I've been close to multiple Pools but it isn't uncommon to simply miss out on a kill shot for whatever reason (especially since I generally play lower alpha tanks).

The Kolobanov's have generally felt like they took more skill.  The Pools (both the one I've earned and all the ones I've been close to) have generally felt more situational in merely securing the kill shot.  Though I am surprised that my Pools was in a Bromwell and not my O-I.

Most I've ever gotten is 8 kills. First one was with my E75 and the second one was with my T67. Seems like top gun is my sweet spot. When I get back from vacation I might jump in my Hellcat and get an epic medal in it. One of my favorite tanks t right now. Haven't really it since I first started playing back in 2015. Back then I just rushed through the tanks and didn't really appreciate them.

I have 5, and only started to get them after 28K battles.  2 were just surviving an assault mode, 2 I was a bully with a lot of HP left and several one shots.  My favorite was with the AMX 13 57 GF.  I got my only top gun with this tank in that battle as well.  That was a lot of clip and scoot tactics.  I was a one shot for most of it if I recall.

The one Kolobanov I didn't get was in Bishop:

2v5

I shoot and while the shell is en route the ally dies, enemy dies right after that (at least that how I saw it on my screen)

Then I kill the remaining 4 enemies.

Was surprised NOT to see the Kolobanov :(

Because it had to be five enemy tanks against you alone.

Kolobanovs should not be awarded for capping (or worse yet, running out the clock on the defending team in an Assault mission).  It cheapens the truly epic Kolobanov, which is awarded for standing alone against 5 enemies and killing them all.  I've got 5 Kolobanov medals, but only 2 of them were the epic variety.

The Pool's is obviously more epic, and I only have one of those.  I got it in my E-100, in an insane 10k damage done, 10k potential damage taken game.

Got my first Pools yesterday in a JagdPanther Tier VII German TD on Winterburg.  4.7k damage, 10 kills but I almost missed out because my Hellcat teammate was chasing the final enemy arty.  He definitely got there first but I didn't see him fire so I secured the kill and thanked him for letting me get the last kill.

No Kolabanovs to date.

I have one Kolobanov's and one Pool's, obtained from the same game, and they in no way indicate I'm any good at this game.  I was just lucky enough to be put on a team that sucked against another team that sucked even more.  It was a 1v6 at the end, with all of them spread out across the map and letting me easily kill them 1 by 1.  Had just 2 of them worked together, they would have easily killed me as I was a 1-shot the entire time.

That game happened about 7k battles ago and I cringe when I watch it now because I see so many mistakes I made that would have easily gotten me killed if the enemies weren't complete idiots.  I definitely didn't earn those medals.

Apparently you didn't kill the fifth remaining enemy tank OR you killed it while your friend was still alive. Now whom has the disability you speak of?

Obviously you. But never mind I'm not going to explain the original post to you in more detail.

Or you can just get 'all the medals'...

Ok, maybe it's not 'all' the medals, but there is a Kolobanov's in there... so on topic!

I would happily sell my "EPIC" medals for a fair amount of gold/coin as they mean nothing to me.
