Honestly I wonder who would buy tier 1 premiums..

there are realy 2 main reason why someone would want to buy a tank:

first is the appearance or historical value, people dont buy them to have more power or grind crew/credits, they buy them becouse of their look or the history behind them, granted colectors only represent a small amount of the paying customers but they are there.

second reason is to obtain a benefit: more credits, more exp or crew exp or the tank siply being better than the average tank

personaly i like akward designs, i would buy things like the skeleton tank even if it sucked

Spoiler

that being said WG could give them some extra flavour to atrack the second group like a huge boost to crew training (silver and exp get no boost) this should encourage older players to buy them plus it wil be a great help for newcomers to quickly grind their first crew.

What WG should do is make the WW1 tanks at tier 1 and tier 2. The 1920s-era tanks tier 3 and the the 1930s-era tanks starting at tier 4. Then what you have now in WOT gets pushed back two to three tiers so you either end up in tier 12 or tier 13.

BTW, every major nation in WW1 were working on their own version of the tank and either built some and/or had prototypes being tested. Here is a list of German tanks either built or in prototype stage that I know about:

* Sturmpanzer A7V

* K Grosskampfwagen

* Leichter Kampfwagen I (LK I)

* Leichter Kampfwagen II (LK II)

* Sturmpanzer A7V-U

* Sturmpanzerwagen Oberschlesien

* Flakpanzer A7V

And Russia even had tanks in WW1:

* Renault FT

* Heavy Tank Mk V

* Tsar Tank -> which is a very weird tank

* Vezdhekod tank

Here is a fact that most people don't know. Russia, in World War 1, had the largest armored vehicle force in the world. Most of these vehicles were armored cars and there were at least 12 models with over 1,000 armored cars used.

Of course I think WG should include more WW1 tanks.

I support this, but instead of all premium tanks. They should make a separate tank line and call it Great war Era in which vehicles around WW1->pre-WW2 can only see in MM. That way we can have sthe Super heavies in WW1. Especially Tog 1. They are around Tier 1->4. We can have a WW2 era and a Cold war Era.

Tank Collectors with a disposable income and no understanding of the fact they're not actually buying anything that they get to keep once this game goes kaput.

I doubt they would make a separate tank line for WW1 tanks. Wargamings got to make money. They probably wouldn't even do this because a tier 1 premium would sell for alot less than a tier 8 premium considering the costs of modelling a tank. The only reason they would do this is either if they sell it as a bundle for like $30 or if they wanted to boost player populations at the lower tiers.

Not all WW1 tanks will be tier 1. Though title will probably have to change.

I expect that there will be a LOT of us New Zealanders that would pay to own a Bob Semple tank. I think it's the only tank New Zealand designed. Well... By designed I mean put some corrugated iron on a tractor and mount some machine guns on.
