Yeah, I've seen this alot.

EX: last night, I saw a T29 try to HIDE in a bush next to a Hellcat.

That's like an elephant trying to hide behind a palm leaf.

I posted in chat that we need him down where the other heavies are. We need his gun.

I was either ignored or he had chat off.

We lost the match.

Sometimes you just can't fix stupid.

I chock it up to being a x3 weekend. That's when the window-lickers show up.

That one pisses me off.  As a TD driver, when you park your gigantic, zero-camo-having, sticks out like a sore thumb, guaranteed to get spotted thingy next to my ninja like camo, zero armor having, low HP snipey thingy, the only thing you are doing is getting me killed by the people shooting at your dumb butt....

PLEASE, for the love of all that is Holy, do NOT park next to or behind a TD, and be careful driving in front of us.  We may have no armor, but a lot of us have REALLY big guns that will hurt if you get shot in the rear...... (and that one is your fault)

Window Lickers are everywhere.  Especially on multi X weekends.

Meh this is all just common sense bs. As someone who wants to win I look for any opportunity to work together with someone, but I also know that 99/100 anything a bad player suggest is at best just a waste of time.

I basically am guilty of giving commands at times.  I am also just as guilty of receiving commands from others that, more often than not, elicit from me a simple response, "Not my first time, I'm good."

I have decided a while back to be a nice gamer.  As nice as I can manage to be at all times.  Oddly, this fits in with my normal day-to-day persona of being a nice guy.

Do I get mad at times?  Sure, I bet the Dalai Lama occasionally yells an expletive when no-one can hear him, too.  Even so, I still am allowed to CHOOSE how I respond, whether that person is a decently nice person or someone who thinks they are, like, really smart, even and abrasive.

So I choose to respond with at least civility.  If I cannot manage that, I then resort to my favorite level of obtuse sarcasm, which, in writing, doesn't seem all that sarcastic, based on my observations so far, so it's all good.  I can rage in my own special way and no-one seems to notice it as raging, so it's a win-win.

Seriously, though, there are times when I really could use a hand on some maps and especially on some days when, for whatever reason, I am going left when i should be going right.  That said, someone simply telling me -- "You should be here with that unit, so go!" is pretty much a no go situation for me.

As the OP said, my tank, my repairs, my control.  If you suggest a place to go that I can reach that fits with what I see going on and that it makes sense to do, like a ping that shows a new enemy unit appearing in our flank -- I'm going to respond if I can.  If you're telling me how to operate my unit on the field, though, well that's going to generate a lot of nothing from me.

This is a team oriented game.

There are a lot of people out there that treat it as a single player experience.

Getting mad isn't a successful method to deal with that.

I play to win as often as I can, because winning is more fun than losing.  I play as a team oriented player, because that's the intent of the game and if I wanted a true single player experience I could have that without an online connection.  I want to play with other people, against other people as a team, just like if I were playing paintball, football, baseball or even volleyball.

You can't do that if you don't observe the intent of the game.  You can't do it if you don't know the rules of the game (vis-a-vis, the mechanics and units on the field).

I miss All Chat.  I have my chat on.  I only occasionally block someone for a battle.  The reason I block?  Ping. Ping. Ping. Ping. Ping. Block.  Insult, trash.  Insult, trash.  Insult, trash.  Block.

That's about it.  No other reason to reduce the human clutter -- just toss out the trash and we're good.  Hope you all feel likewise.

GL, HF & HSYBF

^^^This mess. I try to be a nice guy most of the time, but sometimes, things are just too much. I've taken to blacklisting absolute [edited]and so far, there are over 400 on the list. LOL Just keep calm and tank on! :great:

I guess, in part, that this falls in line with my rule #1 in pubs: Never put yourself into a position where your immediate success depends on a random pubbie being aware of your actions and acting upon them.

You have 99 battles with a T-II average battle tier.

I feel the same way about you.

Try to post in a real account rather than that pathetic tiny e-peen trinket you're trying to impress us all in.

Honestly why bother with the sig? Does it impress you?

Is a Zebra a white horse with black stripes or a black horse with white stripes?

I've used nearly that exact comment for years, when the occasion to use it comes up. I think I got it from one of Roger Zelazny's books, but don't remember. Just thought it was funny to see it on here, most people say "Six of one, half dozen of the other" or something similar. I don't hear the Zebra one very often.

I always laugh when somebody types something like "Heavies, please go to the city".

Also, I really hate those dead guys who try to tell me how to play my tank. You are dead buddy, go and play your next game.

are you laughing after no friendly heavies go city, enemy heavies ROLL city, and now you're down 6 tanks?

Certain tank types perform well on certain map locations.  If you've played more than 2k battles, it gets pretty predictable.

BUT:  never go out alone-- that would be the only exception.

"Press W to help your team" actually works some times.

"Front to enemy" and "Look at the map" not so much.

I am happy to take any relevant advice - it's great to have people who answer when you ask about how much health the last enemy player has when it's a one on one.

Sometimes I just type "Advice?" when I run out of ideas.

Why would you get banned for posting you actual account?  I don't care about a forum posting account, but that's a big ol' red flag right there.

Believe it or not, there will be times when someone makes an obvious mistake and his teammates will give him honest advice with only the best intentions. There will even be times when they're absolutely right and the player in question would benefit from their advice. Whether or not your team ends up winning can likely be the deciding factor of whether or not a match was worth the time and effort, so there is a vested interest in correcting your teammates' mistakes. And likewise there's no practical reason to sabotage your own side with misinformation. The only problem is that some of the guys trying to give advice are completely terrible at WoT and laughably ignorant of what the right move will be in a given situation.

All that said, we'd all be in a better situation if scoring and earnings weren't so skewed by win/loss. If your teammates' bad decisions didn't impact your bottom line, there'd be no reason to stress out about what insanity they're up to.

I usually only comment on some one if its totally wrong what they are doing.
Seeing meds or lights camping with TDs and doing NO spotting for those TDs or Arty usually triggers me.

Here are two examples of why people do not give a damn about spotting anymore.

Match one I am in my 1357GF only light on the team. I go middle do the spotting tank thing and circle in an out to pick up spots. I spot 8 tanks an hold the spots. ZERO spotting damage. I make the move again an hold the spots...125 damage. Repeat for a third time by now we are in the 2 plus minute marks of the match...spot hold...ZERO damage.

Match two in a light I got one light sniping and one sitting the back "guarding arty". Three TDs camped in bush on the East flank with no eyes. They yell we need some eyes over here. I move to the area pop 6 tanks an take fire. I look at the mini map the damn guy yelling for eyes is turning and moving full speed to the opposite side of the map.

Basically various versions of these two occur every day in Pub matches. My view point is scout for yourself I am not doing it any more. It is a waste of time that the other players are going to use your spots an watch your back as you move into fire. YOU CAN NOT depend on other Pub players for anything so play for yourself or if you find a actual player that wants to work with you do that otherwise forget it.

I really love the support I get from some players. I always try to think of something funny to respond with.

Player: You suck, uninstall.

Me: I tried uninstalling but it didn't help.

Player: You lost us the game.

Me: I'm sorry that my death cause the death of all the other players on our team.

Some advice will be right, some will be wrong, judge for yourself. The problem with random battles is mostly lack of teamwork, so some players try to fix that by giving advice and pinging the map. However, that rarely works, because you either have too many players giving contradictory suggestions, or  most players don't listen, or because given suggestions are just plain wrong. Rarely, people listen and advice is good, and it works out great. Unfortunately, for good teamwork, you usually have to join a clan and play skirmishes or strongholds, or platoon with friends in random, so that at least you have a couple of tanks that are aligned with your strategy.

If someone is annoying, unhelpful or rude, just block them and forget about it.
