So i was thinking about grabbing a few boxes this morning, to see what I can get in gold/credits while they still last.   Has anyone bought any holiday boxes?  Are the prizes still going strong or have they pretty much petered out?  I'm not hearing about any Hype 59's anymore.

I already got great stuff during the holidays.  To get my last 2 decorations, I put another $6 down. Got 2,750 Gold, Garage Slot & 3 Days of Premium Time - plus the ornaments I needed.  (this was just 2-3 days ago)

PS - The money I've spent during the holidays is all the money I plan on spending for the rest of the year.  I have over a year of PT and 40K Gold, plus all the tanks I want.  Totally worth it!

If gold and credits is your goal then they are as good of a deal as they've always been. And despite what anyone says, there is no reason to believe that the odds of winning any of the other prizes has "petered out".

Just yesterday I picked up 11 boxes (on the EU server though). I was in need of some gold to buy some garage slots at 50% off.

In the end I received 3000 gold, 8 premium days, 4 garage slots, ornaments, emblems, thousands of credits, the B2, the T-28E F30, the AC1 Sentinel and the Lorraine 40t :) .

$28 Dollars invested - approx. value of boxes $135!

So I think it's still worth picking up some boxes.

I bought my 5 year old 11 boxes for his account. Not much in them really.  about 3500 gold, week of premium time, a PZ B2 and some creds. Made it up to LV 8 with the ornaments so got some free tanks to unlock and female crews.

Tier 8 premos are based on luck, but the boxes give an absurd amount of gold and some credits and other small things

ugh,

that explains alot as of late... why would u subject a 5 year old to this toxic game... but I am sure u are aware, that 13 legal age for this game..

Yeah, still a good deal, seeing savings of 30 to 40%, I see this as a helluva deal like the 50% off premium time as a year ago, just a bit tangential, but great savings overall.

This should set me up for a awhile, and won't spend money again unless they offer deals like this again . . . so in another year.

On the first day when all the hype was abound I bought 25 traditional for myself and 25 for my son:

On the 4th box got a Type 59, then got a 2nd Type 59 on the 8th (gold equivalent). I then got 10,700 Gold for another tank that I already had but it didn't say which one. Also received an AC 1 Sentinel and a PZ KPFU B2 740.

After all conversions I ended up with the above tanks, 21,500 gold, 1.1 million credits, 20 days of premium and 6 garage slots.

For my son. He won the Skorpion TD, AC 1 Sentinal and the F28, 16k gold, 5 garage slots, 1 million credits and 12 days of premium.

Our prices were in Canadian bucks and I think we got a good deal for it.

This past Saturday to finish off the Modern tree I bought 25 Modern boxes and I wasn't disappointed again.

My haul this time:

T26E5, Skorpion, 18k in gold just over 2 million in credits, 3 days of premium and 4 garage slots.

I think you and a lot of the above posters are assuming that I am asking weather or not the boxes are good, and what people got in them.  That is not what my question is.  My question is weather or not anyone has bought the AS OF LATE....   and if so, If the prizes are STILL as good as they were Pre Holidays!!    I know the boxes are a good deal. I bought some myself (But unfortunatly got 0 tier 8's, and only got the [edited]tank)   But im not buying them for the tanks. Im buying them for the gold. and premium time.  I just didn't want to buy them this late, if they weren't putting out any longer.

Sorry about the confusion guys!  I knew that they paid out good before the holidays.  I just wasn't sure if they were still paying out good, and seeing if anyone had bought any in the last few days.

That's pretty funny.  My son is under the age of 10 and I would let him try to kill Leviathan or shoot the alt gun during Halloween.  I also let him choose which Haunted House out of the 3 and I'd always show how excited I was to get that Fire Extinguisher when it popped up (he was the perfect picker!).  Together, we decorated the tree and he got to choose which ornaments, snowman, etc.  He also picked which tanks received the Holiday Camo.  On the rarest of occasions, I let him tool around in my tanks but not much.  Regardless, we have a blast together with World of Tanks and he doesn't read or pay attention to the in-game chat, so it's all good.  PS - His play doesn't affect my winrate at all - because WG determines that for me.  If I am violating the rules...FYI - I don't care  ;)

On a separate note, I've never paid attention to your sig before. You get a +1 from me on that!  When my teams are balanced, I win.  If they're unbalanced, then it's against me and I lose.  There is nothing untrue about this statement so you can keep the Reynolds Wrap in the cupboard.   His sig:

"Balanced MM = WoT would be A LOT funner if the teams got balanced out via PR (personal rating) before the battle starts.. The more balanced = the closer the matches = the more u work as a team = the funner you have even if u do lose eventually.. This also isn't skill based, as both teams get Players of all skill levels.. just stop the insanity of 15 players with 6K and above PR vs 15 players of 2K and below.... its stupid, and new players don't learn / benefit from anything in those matches, except how to lose interest in the game, and leave for good."

WarChild (love the name.. love the movie too)  "My names Johnny Utah....... "WHO CARES!?!?!"

I love that Sig line as well. and it is 100% true.   And I couldn't agree with you more about the kids. I let my kids tool around with the Seasonal stuff, and sometimes even play the tanks.  For a long time my youngest son would just click "Battle" and go in, and watch the fight. He didn't even try to play. That did wonders for my prosperity in the game.

Someone bought me 11 boxes yesterday and I ended up with another 2 million credits, 22k gold and 2 more weeks of premium time. Considering my fine patron paid 19.99, and I got $50+ bucks worth from the gold alone, I'd say the NY boxes are still cranking out deals.

That is kind of a jerk thing to do to the other 14 players on that team. You realize that there are hundreds of replays that your son could watch if that's what interests him right??

I bought 75 boxes 3-times...the last time was on Sunday 1/7...so only a couple days ago...

The first 150 got me the Type 59 and a ton of gold and silver, etc...

The last 50 on 1/7 got me the following:

Premiums: I had them all so just listing gold equivalents. You can tell when you get premiums you already had from these boxes because you get a garage slot only and a hunk of equivalent gold for the premium you already had.

- 1200 gold: 9 times

- 1250 gold: 2 times

- 9700 gold: 1 time

- 10700 gold: 1 time

So that is also 13 garage slots and 13 premiums (which I already had)...

All told I got:

Gold: 58,950

Silver: 3,307,000

Premium Time: 60 days

Garage Slots: 13

Plus, with the ornaments I received I was able to craft and finish all (4) collections and get the rewards for each...

I think this is a good deal...

lol...he wasn't complaining about the 2yr old, he was complaining about you letting him do that and perhaps ruining 14 other peoples games...your kid would likely get the same kick out of a PVE style game where how he/she/they do does not affect 14 other real people...
