Somebody please explain to me why guys with a 4000 plus rating and 15,000 plus battles (I saw one guy today had 40K battles) is playing tier 1-3 tanks?

Shameful I think it is.   T4rd whirlers.

Well.... Maybe they haven't fully elited the tank or researched the next tank. So they went back down to do it.

Well, it's not against any game rules and all tiers are open for gameplay.  There are professional low tier seal clubbers, but they can't cut it beyond tier 2 or 3 and are generally shunned by the community since beating up on noobies isn't considered kosher per the community.

But it's not against the rules.

I have over 20000 battles and I still take out my Pz1c for a spin once in a while.... it's all good fun! I think people like you take this ''GAME'' a little too seriously... but then again, you only have 26 battles... you don't know $hit all about this game. You'll become a unicum whiner if you keep this up. Just enjoy the game.

I'm not sure I would call players who consistently play low tiers veteran players. Veteran jerks, sure, but not veteran players.

They are actively harming the game by driving away the new players that every game depends on.

However, OP, not all players with high battle counts only play low tiers. Most players who are truly skilled almost exclusively play tiers 8-10.

Some players have that one tank that they just like at lower tiers.

Some players may be escaping the poor teams (in their impression) at middle and/or higher tiers.

Some players are done with the concentration, focus, intensity of higher tiers and just want to cut lose and have a little fun driving a go-cart with a machine gun on it.

Some players may be platooning with a noob friend that they are introducing the game to.

Some may be test-driving the new low tier reward tank that Wargaming just dropped into the garage.

Some may drive their low tier golds just to get that one more 'crew training' battle.

Pick one, pick several, add your own reason.

Some people grind from tier 1.  Some people have only low tier premiums for crew training.  Some people seal club.

If there weren't people playing tier 1-3 then it would be even harder for new players to find games.  When starting a new line, it's hard to find games at tiers 1-2 unless it's at a higher population hour.  The people who play tiers 1-3 are necessary, even the seal clubbers.

Personally I am grinding out tank lines that I have not played, and don't play in anything below tier 4.  Is it a shame to have almost  full line of tanks in your history?

And the OP is correct there are some pro clubbers out there and players who just don't want to play anything higher.

I'd enjoy the game a lot more if I didn't play against guys who know the game inside and out.  I guess some players get their jollies clubbing newbs instead of going against people they might actually lose too.

4kPR players are the seals, not the club.

In all seriousness, OP, you shouldn't be worried about it.  You just need to work on learning the maps and figuring out how to use cover and hulldown.  Work on you, don't worry so much about others.  That's the best way to improve and enjoy the game.

I was using 4K as a starting point.  There were guys with 5,6,7 K PR's.

What's the problem?  Am I supposed to sell all my lower tier tanks just because I have Tier VIII's and higher?  I like playing my little UE 57...it's cute.  If OP doesn't like that I play my low tiers at times, well...go play Mario.

I player with 26 battles complaining about seal clubbing sounds more like a troll than anything else. Clearly he's found xvm mods or his clicking on players to review their service records. Either way, it a bizarre thing to be doing before you even learn the game mechanics.

The same could be said in reverse for the sub-4000 PR players playing at Tier VIII and above... It's a game. Play what you want, but play to win.

Really? How long does it take to grind a line to T4 if you have 20k battles under your belt?

Even if you chose not to free XP, for whatever reason, with a booster we are looking at 4-5 games max.

Please dont defend Seal clubbers, it's arguably one of the worst aspects of the game.

After you die instead of going back to garage, ride along with the player. I always found this to be a useful learning tool. Click your left mouse button to cycle thru the remaining players and enjoy your education! Its always better to find something positive from what you perceive as a negative. I found a mentor by messaging a very good player after a low tier battle. He was not a seal clubber, just starting a new line. GLHF

Sad but true mate, don't sweat it,  it happens to us all. Grind the lines you like and have fun. When you get to Tier 4 and 5 you will have a better vehicle better equipment. There will always be better players than you, but there is less Seal Clubbing as the competition is a bit stiffer and tends to fight back.

Here are signs that usually indicate a clubbers; camouflage tank and a clan tag in their name, avoid these players if you can.
