I've found this.

https://thearmoredpa...ra-information/

However it's not clear as they said the T-10 won't be removed, but it also says that if you do have the T-10 you'll get the 257 after 9.22, we'll get two tanks at the price of one or am I missing something?

Right now Obj 430 and 263 owners will GREATLY benefit because if you own either tank when the patch hits you keep them as tier 9s while getting their tier 10s for free. I've read over the T10 thing a few times and while some can argue the explanation isn't clear I think it says that so long as you have the T10 in your garage you'll get the replacement tank for free.

EDIT: Here are the images from the article stating what happens to each tank. I've put them in spoilers as I don't want to stretch the post for mobile users.

When I read the article, the Obj 430 is the only one that explicitely states that you retain the old tank AND gain the new one. Because of that omission, I would wager that we will lose our T-10. Very unfortunate.

Its there plain as day if you read the second comment for the T10.

I guess I can stop struggling with the Challenger for now and finish the IS-3 grind.

you're struggling with the Challenger?

Thats surprising because that thing is like a beefed up Cromwell.

EDIT: Nvmd, I was thinking of the tier 8 Charioterr...I always get the 7 and 8 confused.

The first ! quote says if the IS-7 is researched then experience stays on the T-10.  I'd think they wouldn't let that XP just vanish if they remove it.

Question.  What if I have a 100% stock T-10 with 0 EXP in my garage?  I get a fully upgraded T-10 premium and a 100% stock Obj 257?

You don't get a T-10 premium. Nobody does.

From what I understand is that we keep the T-10 along with the xp and modules (some players who already have the IS7 unlocked keep the xp on the T-10) and we get the 257 for free.

So if it says that you keep all the EXP on the T-10 if the IS-7 is researched, what is happening to the T-10?

EDIT:  Looking at another thread the T-10 stays just as it is now but goes to another Tier X.  Lame.

From a different story on TAP https://thearmoredpa...ussr-tech-tree/

Players love the mobile assault T-10, which quickly shifts the accent of an attack, knocking everything in its path. However, no matter how good it may be, it did not fit into the IS-3 and IS-7 group, so we replaced it with “Object 257”. Do not worry, the T-10 will not quit the game. Over the years, he repeatedly proved his effectiveness, so he will get a mini-branch, where at the tier X will be a machine with a similar gameplay. We continue to work on this newcomer, so let’s talk about him later.

I bet the tier 10 for the T10 will just be a slightly uparmored T10 with the IS7 gun.

I still wish they'ed give the T10 its old IS8 name back though.

Yeah, the Tier 7 was kind of painful.  The Charioteer is actually a lot of fun.  Decent gun with standard APCR and Premium HESH.....   Pretty fast, good gun handling, decent camo.  Only down side is paper armor, but hey, it's basically a Cromwell with a bigger gun.

Wow... Object 257 for free? nice. Nothing wrong with a free T9 heavy tank. I was sure they'd make us research it.

I suspect that the reason it does not actually state you keep the T-10, is because it stays the same tier. The other tanks--430 & 263, switch tiers.

The xp earned on the T-10 appears to stay on the IS-7, if you've researched it. If the IS-7's not been researched, the current xp of the T-10 goes to the new 257.

It certainly still uncertain if you keep the T-10.

The info I saw said that the T-10 is going to become yet another mini-branch that will lead to an as-of-yet unnamed Tier X.  They aren't removing it.

The way I read the T-10 thing is that it's a straight swap.

Then why would research xp on the T-10 remain on the T-10, if it is to be removed?  Makes no sense.

Also you can see this quote from another interview:https://thearmoredpa...ree/#more-62113

So it sounds to me that the most likely outcome is, the T-10 will branch off the IS-3 and dead-end at Tier IX until they determine which new Tier X to lead to.  We will also be given an Obj 257 (if we have a T-10) and our T-10 crew will get swapped over.  All equipment and paint will be demounted.

You can see the new proposed Russian tech tree here: https://ru-wotp.wgcd.../image/tree.jpg

Purely my take:
The research xp won't stay on the T-10, either way. If you have accumulated xp on the T-10, and not spent it to research the IS-7, it will move to the new 257 tank. If you have spent the xp to research the IS-7 (unlocking, but not purchasing it yet) you will not lose that progress. The xp will remain on "it": the IS-7.

It seems odd to me that they might leave the T-10 dangling for what could honestly be a couple years before they create a tier ten for it's line. I see it going away for now.

If we have the 263 and the 122-54, do you think we get 3.5 M Credits for the additional Tier 9 263 Added to the account?
