I only went up that russian TD line for the su-122-54 and now you remove it. You say this is to keep the concept of the line similar, but you release obvious free exp gold sink AMX 65t that doesn't fit the concept of the Amx m4 54.

But don't worry, they'll sell us back the tank for gold just like the awful panther, 4202, or t34 because of all the forum complaining instead of keeping it as a normal tank.

this guy gets it.

It would be really really nice for you guys to add an option to make the tech tree vertical! Please!

There's a mod for that...

How will it work if I have the T10 and IS7? Will I lose the T10 and get the obj 257 as replacement, then have to regrind the T10 in its new position? Will I get the T10 in its new position and have to grind the obj 257? Or will I keep the T10 in its new position and also get the obj 257?

Overall looks cool, more tanks is always sweet!

From what I have read, you will not lose the T10  and get the OBJ 257.  Looking forward to this.

What really worries me about this update is the thickness of the armor on these new tanks.  I have an M48 Patton and I'm already planning out where I'm going to fire my HEAT shells into because unless I get a side it will be very difficult to penetrate these tanks.  I can get around them in my medium, but what are tier 8s and 9s going to do when they only have about a 1/3 chance in penetrating these tanks unless they park on their sides and rear?

"However, you spoke out against moving the Object 263 to Tier IX and we couldn’t ignore it. So we took them both for another round of testing to verify the initial results. The Object 263 remained untouched, but we reduced the Object 268 Variant 4 alpha strike from 750 to 650 to eradicate the abrupt change in alpha damage and reload time between Tiers VIII and Tier X."

So does that mean we're basically going to have the 263 at Tier 9 with almost the same stats as it has now or...? I mean you guys kinda need to clarify what untouched means because I really don't want my 263 without it's high dpm, because otherwise I'll just sell it and stick to my Jagdtiger.

"6. The statistics, Marks of Excellence, an Mastery Badges will remain on the Tier X Object 430"

Do you mean Tier IX Object 430 or the Tier X Object 430U? Or do you mean that in our tank history we will retain a record of a Tier X object 430 despite there no longer being one in the game?

Same question for the Object 263.

I agree with the others to keep the SU-122-54 in the game as something like a special tank or premium tank because it's both a historical tank and quite a few players like it

Obj 263 not going to have the same stats as the current Tier X. It's gonna be worse, much, much worse. From the last know leaked supertest info, its gonna have a 0.45 accuracy, 2.2 aim time and a horrendous 16.5 sec reload.

I still maintain that most of the proposed line changes are misguided and counterproductive. Let's start with the medium branch. The good news is that the current proposal isn't nearly as crazy as it used to be. They aren't removing the 416 (praise the Lord!), and they aren't down-tiering the 430 II either. But even so, why bother splitting the branch in the first place? Why not just leave it as-is and just give the 430 and 430 II the 122mm as an alternate gun choice. I've said it a thousand times, I'll say it again, consistency in a tank line is not an asset. Its a liability. Players can handle tanks changing in role and aesthetics from tier to tier. The baddies' problem isn't that you've suddenly surprised them with a new feature halfway up a tech tree branch, but rather that they were never taught how to read stats and understand tank roles in the first place. And changing the lines to end up being a series of clones is uninteresting.

Likewise for the TD branch. All it would have taken is a couple extra degrees of gun depression and wider gun sweeps to make the SU-100m1, SU-101, and SU-122-54 worth their salt, and the current 263 stands on its own merits. We gain nothing by them being instead shoehorned into this new 'armored assault-gun' role. And in the end scheme of things, the 268v4 is still an uninspired machine to foist on us. Perhaps if it had the option to mount a 130mm gun with similar performance to that of the current 263, we could talk. But otherwise you have only a cheap Jageru knockoff minus the Jageru's one interesting feature.

And as for the heavies, the new rear-turret branch is a thing, not much to comment on that. But again, why go through all this needless trouble to relocate the T-10? No, it isn't all that different from the IS-3 and IS-7. And even if it was, that wouldn't pose any noteworthy problem. Besides that, the 252 clone that you're putting in its place is not likely to itself be very interesting, nor interesting to fight against. Whenever this sort of armor is relied upon, either it ends up being game-breaking, or it ends up being irrelevant. There is no middle-ground between those two outcomes.

I really like a majority of the update like the new heavies and mediums. The TD changes are completely unnecessary in my opinion. These TDs specialize in second line support with decent armor, speed and a good DPM..... not this crap DPM, high armor bull. Another unique line gone to [edited]. well i guess i am done grinding Russian TDs. I hate this new Meta of more frontal armor and corridor city maps. It is starting to suck the fun out of playing. But hey what do i know i am only a single player. If everyone else loves it and i am in the minority then so be it.

That's what I saw before, but a lot of people gave WG a lot of flak over basically making this line borderline pointless, so I thought it might change since a WG employee basically said they wouldn't even be making these changes. But that's ok because instead of just the tier 8 and 9 tanks being garbage, they're all garbage.

Pretty much the reason why they didn't release the stats for the Tier 9 and 10. It would have really paint the new line in a really bad light.

DO NOT TAKE ANY OF TANKS AWAY!! WE WORKED OUR ASSES OFF TO RESEARCH THEM!! MAKE THEM PREMIUM AND LEAVE THEM FOR US!! WE PAYED FOR EVERY MODULE AND RESEARCH THEM, THIS IS JUST WRONG TO TAKE AWAY 2 TANKS, AND DO NOT GIVE ME CRAP LIKE I AM GETTING 2 TANKS INSTEAD. I LIKE UNIQUE TANKS, DO NOT CARE IF NO ONE PLAYS THEM. DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING AWAY, THERE IS NO COMPENSATION FOR SOMETHING WE OWN OTHER THAN MAKING THOSE TANKS PREMIUMS.

Yeah and I run vanilla, I'd prefer just having an option in the settings to display it vertically. I should be pretty simple.
