So lets talk about these clearly over powered new Russian tanks. I mean come on, a medium tank with 300mms of effective frontal armor. Also the new heavy tank at tier 10 with around 320mms of effective armor along with the new tier 10 tank destroyer. You literally have to load gold in most tier 8 and 9 machines to pen these things and even then it may not be enough. I know that they are geared to take on other tier 10s but lets face it, they will see lower tier tanks and those same lower tier tanks won't be able to do much to them.

Well when you fight low tier tanks what matters is your DPM. Can you kill them off fast enough? Because unless you have 360 degrees invincible armor, which you don't, getting outnumbered will always get you killed. Clearly those new Soviet tanks have NO DPM.

I think WG buffed the wrong stat on the Obj 268 Ver 4, armor was strong enough as it was, but the gold spam of a test server makes the armor seem weaker then it actually is. They should have buffed the accuracy instead, maybe even the DPM.

Hell, they should do that for the whole line

Question about the 9.22 update.

I am grinding out the T10 right now and I have 100k experience, about 80k short of getting the IS7, but I want the IS7 not the tank the XP will move to when the T10 moves.  I guess I am going to have to free XP to it if I want to get it before 9.22 comes out?  Cause I want the T10 exp to go towards IS7 not a surprise tank, I've worked too long to get the IS7.

So when is the 9.22 update going to come?  A week, a month, more?
Also, will there be an announcement that 9.22 is going live (ex March 1st) before it happens so I have time to unlock the IS7 (since I don't have enough RP yet) before the change happens.

Thanks.

The new Soviet tech trees seem interesting I haven't tried out any of the new tanks but I've played the buffed prototype and it gets around pretty well

WG needs to let people who already have the Obj. 263 keep it. Its a unique tank with that can play multiple roles and in flexible enough for those who know how to use it. Its replacement can only be describes as a "****sandwich". Its dpm and accuracy is abysmal. Speaking of abysmal, the tier 9 263 is everything the tier 10 is not...

LET PEOPLE WHO ALREADY HAVE THE TIER 10 263 KEEP IT!!!

I don't get why people who already had the Foch 155, FV215b 183, and the FV215B were able to keep it but not the 263...

WG needs to be consistent. Didn't they say they received a lot of backlash for planning to move the 263 to tier 9. Also what happened to "the Obj. 263 will keep its rate of fire" like they promised?

In other news, IMO, the 705A is great where it is. Its well balanced and fun to play. Its not an E100 or an IS-7, more like a hybrid that takes the best of both worlds and packs it into a smalle package.

I would prefer this as well with an armor and negative gun depression buff to the SU122-54

But it appears WG has made up its mind to push this through even with all the opposition!

Speaking of Holiday OPs.....   If I applied the holiday discount to one of these tanks in 9.21, will it stay with the tank, will it reset (allowing me to select another), or will I lose the discount?

I have tried all the new USSR tanks. Overall they turn too slow, have very bad gun depression and they reload too slowly . 263 = good alpha but slow ROF, bad view/depression, slow turning.

257= good tank with slowish reload, bad aim time/depression.

ISM = Low pen/Alpha, bad view/depression, slow turning.

705 = bad depression, poor ROF/Alpha, poor view and slow turning.

705A  = medium speed, poor turning, good alpha, poor ROF and depression.

430 = good speed/turning , bad depression with low alpha.

430U = Fast, mobile, good turning, good ROF but lowish alpha poor depression.

268v4 = fast but not nimble in turns, bad ROF but good alpha, bad depression.

The common fault is ROF, Depression, Mobility, and Alpha. All in all I will continue with the 257 and will wait to see whats after the t10. The rest I will not be grinding for in the near future. chuckwaggon Canada.

I've played this game for a while now (since about 2012) and I've always precariously watched Wargaming and it's 'updates'. I feel it's time I give my full hearted opinion since I've started.

  • Wargaming has indeed moved towards a more pay style oriented gameplay, they've done so by causing dispersion to hit more towards the edges of the circle as opposed to the center (in my opinion, just a tad too much). The newer tanks that have been introduced have very few to no weak points that can be exploited or just too much armor for other tanks to reliably go through the front with default rounds, even same tier tanks. Tanks such as the well known Chrysler GF, Defender and E25 to just name a few, have also ushered in a business opportunity that WG is exploiting.
  • Wargaming removed a lot of their variety in removing maps, I understand that they're giving us some HD maps, but why does the rest of the WG Co. have access and we don't? I really hope that WG returns our maps we used to have.
  • Wargaming US has shown that PC isn't at their first interest when it comes to "list of importance", my reason behind this is the fact that WoT for PC may have better shaders and lighting than console, but console has things that I find appealing as 'immersion'. Example: the cannon sticking out during sniping (disabled when zooming in further), dust from wind, tracers, badges (World of Warships has this and I enjoy this system), etc.
  • I think Wargaming is making a decent move on fixing the Russian medium tree, as the 430 did NOT match the fighting style of the 430 II, however, I think the TD line was perfectly fine. Hopefully Wargaming's next move will be to listen to the players and seriously do a re-balancing of all their current tanks before implementing anything new or moving any around.

That being said about my main complaints with the game, here's my more 9.22 focused opinion:

  • I think that the 430 should be removed from the game completely and given as a premium tank, like what happened with the Badger. The 430U, while it has good mobility and lovely armor, it's dispersion is garbage and negates one of it's bonuses, it's camo value, I also dislike the pen values of the AP on the 122mm vs the 100mm. I grinded through the painful 430 line because I saw it's insane RoF and it's decent alpha and I put 1+1 and figured it out and decided that this tank would be worth the grind.
  • Again, I think the TD line should have been left alone, I haven't gone down that line but there is backlash across the community about it, that and the fact that there's no frontal weakpoints? C'mon... This is becoming an issue...
  • New IS-M line, I'm interested, I really like the IS-M's concept and it's stats for it's tier, however, it's tier 9 and tier 10 counterpart are OP in certain areas and lacking in others. Fist off, penetration, it's crap, AP and even it's HEAT is useless unless you're shooting weak points (good luck with dispersion values unless you're face hugging). Their armor is a little... Too OP, maybe dumb the turret down frontally a little and buff the sides a tad, remove a bit off the front of the hull and nerf the engine power a bit, 14hp/t ratio on a 100t tank?! That's enough to make any other tank cry, maybe as a minor buff to the engine nerf, add a bit to the turret-traverse?

I hope Wargaming actually reads this and all the other information from everyone and takes into consideration of the community. I understand games can't be left completely in the decision of the players, but you also can't just completely ignore issues that are plaguing your community (or "fixing" them like with removing cross-chat (but I also understand why that was removed too)).

I have the IS-3 & T10 & IS-7  in the garage.

question:  Will I get the ISM unlocked or will I have to re-buy the IS and grind it to get the ISM ?

The ISM will not be unlocked.  You will need to re-buy the IS and grind out the XP to get the ISM...

Hey! If you checked out the first iteration of the patch notes, the exp you have on the T-10 now will move to the new tier 9 replacing the T-10 leading on to the IS-7. This means that you will still be able to continue the grind on the new Obj 257 with your existing 100k of free exp. They were pretty smart about the move, as people who have not unlocked the IS-7 will keep the exp on the new tank towards the IS-7. While those who have the IS-7 like myself will get to keep the exp on the T-10 towards the upcoming new vehicle!

Urban Crusher: Meet the Object 705A

"Few top-tier vehicles among the Soviet lineup feel all that different to play in the big picture. Update 9.22 will fix that with a heavy-armored close-range fighter, which can bring more versatility to a rather traditional tank design school."

LoL. Because, you know, thats exactly what this game has been missing. World of Warhammer Tanks.
