I think many players who have suffered through the grind of this line would agree with me. It is fine as a tier 10 but if it must be moved, let it have a special vehicle status.

This quote form the changes article says:

"However, you spoke out against moving the Object 263 to Tier IX and we couldn’t ignore it. So we took them both for another round of testing to verify the initial results. The Object 263 remained untouched, but we reduced the Object 268 Variant 4 alpha strike from 750 to 650 to eradicate the abrupt change in alpha damage and reload time between Tiers VIII and Tier X."

Evidently I'm not the only one that wants it to stay at tier X. But its unfair to punish the players who already have it. It should get special Status like the Foch 155, FV215B 183,  and FV215B.

I agree +1 I mean the 263 is super unique and has a really interesting play style that's unlinke alot of tier 10 TDs I wish they would keep it as a reward vehicle.

I was under the assumption that all tier X's removed from now on would remain in garage as special vehicle for those who owned it already.  That was wrong?

The best thing is that they leave the object 263 like this, it is coherent in that line and it is a balanced TD nor is it just that they take away the opportunity to obtain the tank from me and other players in the future

agree, they have been doing that for all the others.. keep up the same format.. just move down to a special vehicle.. it means a lot to all of us that grind the shiat out of tanks.. then see it moved down,,, (NERFED) or just gone.... it does not cost you guys nothing except a few lines of code.. for us it means a lot!

I agree, but at the same time I DO NOT want to see The SU122-54 removed or changed in tier

It needs armor buffs to become competitive and a contender

This is something that you have not tried (as far as I know)

The Su122-54 also has a unique play style and is one the reasons I went down this line

it was not because of the OBJ 263 that imo need a power to w/r buff a side armor buff and a buff to the pivot rate

These simple, yet effective, changes would go a long way to improving the lower Soviet TD branch!

If this happens then I will put all of my reservations against the incoming patch aside.

The 263 should get special vehicle status, you could even move it down to tier 9 as planned and have 263 variant A and B to separate the special from the tier 9. OBJ263A and OBJ263B everyone wins and those who have this unique play-style tank get to keep it as it is.

But it would be staying in the normal tech tree just a tier lower. the other tanks were removed completely from the tech tree, not moved down a tier (FV Medium, Heavy and TD).

What you're saying is, that I can have a T30 Heavy tank before it was moved to a TD? No.

Why doesn't WG just keep the SU 122-54 and move to the other TD line like they do with the German Ferd and JPanther2?  Then leave the Obj 263 alone and put the new td at tier 9? I would think that this would solve a bunch of the issue and please a lot of players. But they will do want they want and not listen to anyone.

That was only for tier 10s being removed which isn't the case for the 263 as its being downtiered.

I mean, I wish they wouldn't remove the SU-122-54 since this is probably one of like, what, one of the seven actual produced and used in service high tier tank destroyers (ISU-152, Ferdinand, Strv-103B, Jagdtiger, Charioteer, and Kanonenjagdpanzer). I mean you could just put the thing in as the tier 8 tank destroyer instead of the SU-101 because no matter what you do to that thing, it's still flat out garbage and by the looks of the new stats, it still is going to be absolute garbage. I honestly don't think the whole "it doesn't have a rear mounted gun" argument can stick when the SU-101 has and always will be the problem of that line (trust me, anyone who hasn't grinded out the Object 263, for the love of god don't play the SU-101, seriously it's painfully bad, just free xp past it). I would've been completely fine if they introduced the Object 268 V.4 into the game with similar goals as with the Object 263 (high dpm, good mobility, decent armor, somewhat ok gun handling stats, poor gun depression, etc), but they didn't. If I wanted to play Wargaming's idea of an "assault tank," I'd just play my Badger or my Jagdpanzer E-100 or my Foch B or literally anything that doesn't have 2200 base dpm because that's ridiculously bad. Besides, nobody is pointing out another flaw with the Object 268 V.4's design. That upper plate only has 100mm of armor. While it is very well angled, what's going to happen when you're in a big gun tank destroyer or one of the HE spamming Japanese heavies and you just keep smacking that spot where it's engine is with high explosive (this is a rear mounted gun TD so the engine has to be up front)? This whole line is going from bad tanks early on that lead into a really special and fun to play tier 10, to every tank is fast in a straight line with some of those tanks having decent armor, but every other stat is complete garbage.

Edit: Also forgot to mention this but why does the 705A have a rate of fire of 3.3 RPM while the Object 268 V.4 has a rate of fire of 3.5 RPM? I'm just dumbfounded honestly.

Oh and you forgot to mention the T28/95 TD because that was sent to I think Korea during the Korean war so technically it was used in service but I don't think it saw any action.

As for the SU101 while its not a very pleasant tank to play because of its low HP pool and lack of gun depression its far from being a bad tank grind I think.

What don't I ******* understand here?

They want to move the Object 2653 from tier X to teir IX.

As it is? Fine.

What's the problem?????

Please keep the Obj. 263 as is at Tier X and make it a special vehicle as was recently done with the British and French TD lines. Don't move it down a tier and nerf it and make it crappy to play. It's a great, unique, fun-to-play and balanced vehicle as it is right now. Don't mess it up. It's the only Tier X I consistently enjoy playing.

Every test iteration they've had of it has nerfed the accuracy and DPM heavily, making it pretty useless.

Personally I would rather them keep the Obj 263 as it is at tier 10 and add the Obj 268 V4 into an alternative line at tier 9. At tier 8 before it would be the Obj 268 V2. Tier 10 I would actually take the Obj 261 from its spot as arty and make it into a tier 10 TD, at least then the line would offer something new for the Russian TD line

Give the SU-100M1 and 101 the buffs to gun arc and gun depression with none of the nerfs and they would be so much more comfortable to play. The Obj 262 could be at tier 9 with some fake guns to fit before the Obj 263.

The 263's tier 9 gun stats are awful ... It also will lose 1000 DPM... Dispersion will be raised from .31 to .42.. They are trying to change the game play of this TD by increasing accuracy while moving...

It looks like they won't be keeping a tier 10 version... 263 is my Fav tank because its unique and fun to play. I'm glad I didn't spend any money over the holidays on this game because clearly they don't listen to customer feedback. I started playing again because I heard they were making changes and I wanted to keep the 263. Looks like I wont have any incentive to play WoT again after 9.22. The time wasted grinding that line and losing what you paid for is irritating...
