In summary:

- Advances will be 10v10 with a max of 3 legionnaires

- Tier 6 and 8 skimishes will now have no maximum for legionnaires

 

I am glad that they are trying new things with the skirmishes, but i remember them testing the same 10 person advances a while back and it wasn't recieved very well. However i think the unlimited legionnaires in skirmishes is definitely needed in tier 8s and would be a great change to be implemented permanently.

 

What are your thoughts?

I personally like the system we have in place currently. 

 

I guess the unlimited legionnaire thing could help developing clans that want to be active but don't have enough active members..?

 

There is no reason to bump advances down to only 10v10, you only need 10 clan and 5 legionaries to play. If I really wanted to play 10v10, I would just play tier 8 skirms or team battles. The current advances are as close as you can get to CW style without having the stress and obligations as CW requires.

Can they also make the advances MM more random? Tired of fighting the Mahou over and over again, would be nice to fight clans like Otter, R-7 etc once in a while.

I personally liked 15 v 15 advances but I think that the 10 v 10 will be a good change of pace

Amen. Dropping to 10v10 for advances, adding more legionnaires to 8v8 only proves without a doubt that players are leaving the game. It all started with the advent of CW 2.0 and the BS stronghold requirement. The more they complicate CW and campaigns the less people are going to play those modes. The really sad part is the idiots at WG can not figure this out.

I post this like once a year when they mess with the Advances rules....

 

Please don't mess with Advances. It is the perfect format for end game clan content for average clans. 15v15, tier X, MM based on skill, rapid fire games, etc.

 

As a middle of the pack clan we have had a great experience with Advances. It allows us of put a team together with minimal planning. Then fight a very diverse range of other clans. We fight clans ranking from the about 20th to 100th on any given night. We only occasionally play the same team, maybe once a month, and I kinda like the rivalry that builds without getting redundant. Furthermore it is rare for us to feel over-matched where we have zero chance of winning a game out of the set. But similarly it is rare that we totally dominate someone else.

 

Mode is working perfectly for DHO-X, please don't change anything.

T8 SH with 9 legionnaires from 9 different clans was a meme and a half tonight. Made some new friends and added a few to the blacklist. So much easier to play the mode when you don't have to worry about keeping 7 members of the same clan online at the same time.

 

It's especially fun if you can get a group of 3-4 friends willing to stick around in someone else's stronghold so you aren't constantly playing legionnaire roulette.

10 v 10 Advances is awful. You lose flexibility. Meta becomes 8 fast heavies and 2 bats. Maybe 6 heavies with 2 russian bias and 2 bats. This is all to try to engage smaller less active clans have a chance. 

 

Ever since they started this program the game has been going down hill. Is there anyone out there who likes Clan 2.0 better than 1.0?
