You are wrong about the particular moment you highlighted.

Before I fully crested over onto the Matilda, I was aimed at the ground in front of me, in third person view (at 10:45).

Shortly thereafter, I switched to first person view, and was aimed at the ground beyond the Matilda (at 10:43).

The change in aim points as I switched perspectives was what caused the bounce, not some bug in the client.

Are you sure you can correctly identify what is, and what isn't, a bug?

Why don't you show me an example of this "well documented" bug? Isn't that much easier?

Also, isn't "not a fool" the exact opposite of "being obtuse"? Make up your mind.

That actually isn't  the part of that encounter I was talking about, it's the same time area...but ok.  Whatever floats your boat.

Are you drunk?  Or do you just plan on ignoring the topic?

Just so you are aware...and I'm guessing you have no idea what you're talking about.  but doxxing is illegal.  Insinuating I dox people, or companies etc etc et al, without any real proof is guess what, also illegal.

I'd recommend you be careful in the future, someone in your life may take you seriously, unlike the village idiot you really are.

I went to the time stamp you specified, and through that 2-second window (and the few seconds immediately after) multiple times at 1/2 speed.

I further provided screenshots of where the "bounce" happened, and explained the reason behind it.

And the best you have is "whatever"? Nice.

I said around 10:45 so you would watch in that time area, its after that.  look at 10:39

I specifically said "10:45~" so as to give a good +/- measure to check

I didn't specifically say 10:45

So yes.  Whatever floats your boat.

Are you actually relevant?  We all know how he passed.  People have their vices.  People have their issues.  He took his too far.  That doesn't mean to say he was an absolute villain, or evil.  You really need to get your head checked.

And I said I went through the next few seconds too. Whatever happens to my reticle from the point I start shooting at the Matilda, to the time I actually kill him, is caused by my ping and server reticle, as earlier explained. Any substantive counters, or do I get another intelligent "whatever"?

Good to know he put his limited and barely watchable twitch stream above his kids and family ;). I mean, staying up multiple times over 24 hours in 1 week then takes speed, fentanyl and other drugs just to stay up to cater to fools who have no bearing on his life. Well he did go out with a bang! Literally!

I checked over it a few times,  it's there.  The shot that leaves the matilda with 73hp, right after you take your shot.  Watch it at 1/8th speed.  its the point AFTER you exit first person.  you shoot, leave him with 73hp, then your reticle jerks UP and then back down (again, you aren't in fps when this happens and its NOT when you switch from first to 3rd) That is NOT an fps issue or a ping issue, your ping was a constant 245ms at that point and your fps was a steady 100-106

Watch it again closely. 10:43-10:41 is a more exact time.

~edit watch it at 1/16th not 1/8.

I'll also add that you are on a constant, very slight but consistant down motion with no bumps in the terrain.  your reticle was constantly on/at the target with no jerky turret motion.

This is what we're talking about.  That shouldn't be there.

Excellent. A substantive response. But that incident was actually caused by a change in perspective when I switched from 1st person to 3rd person view.

The following are 4 screenshots taken when the game is paused at 10:41 (which was after I had fired):

1. Having just switched 3rd person view during the game, the server reticle appeared way above the Matilda and to the left.

2. If I switch to the free-look camera in the replay (it is still paused) and move the camera to a slightly lower level, the reticle moves closer to the Matilda.

3. I moved the camera further still, and the reticle got even closer.

4. Finally, I moved the camera such that it placed my turret directly between the camera and the Matilda's turret (the actual aim point), and lo and behold the reticle was actually immediately behind the Matilda's turret, with no vertical displacement.

That "jump" was caused by the server reticle leaving the Matilda's turret, and going on to the ground beyond, and the camera's perspective. If I had been in first person view, you would not have seen any jump (i.e. something similar to the 4th picture). It was me being in 3rd person view that caused that perceived jump. Try it for yourself -- play with the views if you can manage to pause the replay at this exact moment.

of course it moved behind, was it supposed to?  did you move your mouse/turret there?  What I saw, with the controls I have available, I didnt see an intentional turret/gun movement.

But I couldn't know this unless I was playing.

And from my perspective there's maybe a half-second  of time in between your view switch to when the reticle bounce occurred.  I don't think that's the cause of that reticle bounce.

Let me rephrase. The change to 3rd person didn't cause the jump. Me being in that view, plus server reticle and bad ping caused the perception that there was one.

your reticle was jerky the whole time, but it was a consistant latency jerk.  This was't one of those movements.

Just go play with the free-look camera and you should understand what I'm trying to say about there being no vertical displacement / jump. It was just the same consistent lateral displacement caused by lag.

hold up...isn't this the issue we're talking about or what?

Where there's an incorrect compensation in aiming via server side that makes it look like you aren't aiming at your target?

I'm not even talking about the ridge-line server side reticle compensation issue.

Neither am I. Did you even read this post of mine?

It's 5am here and I need to sleep. I don't even know why you can't understand what I'm saying in all my posts since you identified the 10:45 mark.

Go think about it a bit more. If you want, I can explain it to you on TS, but I can only be on in about 9-10 hours' time.

No actually I didn't even see that one there.  I went to last post read at the top and I'm going to take a guess that it skipped it.
