Latam server is doing a great job of doing what it was intended to do... provide low ping and minimal lag/packet loss for players who reside in the lower 2/3 of South America (whom choose to use it).

Anyone who wants can still freely use NA Central or any other server in the world where they have an account.

I don't see any problem here.

With as crappy as the bulk of the Latan players perform in this game, let it die and then cut them off from the central server.

-----

EDIT:  You can call that whatever you want, if you don't like what I had to say.  But, when Latan player camp behind SPGs, something is horribly wrong.  I get stuck on that wretched server from time to time and it is absolutely sad how timid that they play.  That is fine, for them.  Every region plays like how it should play and that is fine when it is confined to their region.  When it mixes, though, games get tossed and that is a bad thing when people are raging against the MM currently.  We don't need added angst.

At least everyone agrees that the LATAM player base is really, really bad.

I would be interested to see battle stats for the latam server.

I wonder what the draw percentage is?

Same, very curious about the average wr there vs all the other servers to see if there's actual facts to back up the lower quality players mostly being from SA.

You posted before I did as I was talking about the guy before you.

Though honestly you're still wrong about LATAM players being better because statistically they're generally worse.

I'm from Argentina, and though having 50ms is tempting, there's something in the LATAM server that I just don't like, maybe the amount of players, quality, whatever, so I went back to US Central. Those 150 or so ms more don't have a noticeable impact to me.

It does seem that in general LATAM players have worse statistics than the average.  My company has branches in Central and South America and these people are just as capable and talented and the US staff, so this does not make sense to me.  Can someone explain why the LATAM WOT player base does seem to have lower skill?

I think all their skill goes into playing soccer football games

One has nothing to do with the other. many countries south of texas have a culture of online griefing. A lot of other online games have been murdered by them as they just destroy everything they log into.

Prominent game devs have already began literally ip segregating users from brazil et al in order to save their playerbase. Google it, its been an epidemic since at least 2012.

It's what they do

While I hate people thinking that other people outside of their country is "as capable as..." (implying some sort of surprise), or just saying they're not, and are worthless because of birthplace, I do have to agree with what I quoted, Brazilians have, for a long time, been notoriously known for disturbing every single online game they play. It's like part of their online culture (someone posted a Brazilian study about that, interesting at least).

Overall I found that the gameplay quality is not that different aside from some minor details in some players, so when I get bad teams in one server I just switch to the other.

Good players are rare. If they are good from the start, there isn't any need to move to another server.

as a report two months ago, latam server dying, nobody plays because the best players are Latin American, so either be professional or
you can not get credits and XP in latam, simple of 6000 players at the beginning, now there are only 900 to 2000 and down.
good job wargaming ,,,,,,,,,,,

So that's where all the greats went.  Makes sense?

WG merged the former USE and USW servers to unite both low server populations into a single, higher-populated server (USC).

Now WG splits servers again into USC and LATAM.

Anything that keeps WG from logging me into the wrong server is a win. Die away LATAM server. Bring back the West Coaster Server!
