I am unable to launch my World of Tanks client but World of Warships can open on my Asus K53E computer. When I hit "Play" in the launcher it starts to open the game then crashes to desktop.with application error xc0000005 and a fault offset 0x00301440. I have done the following steps:

  • Reinstalled the game both with stand alone launcher and Game Center
  • Reinstalled video drivers
  • Reinstalled Visual C++
  • Run a System File Checker and it found no violations
  • Run a DISM online repair
  • Factory reset of Windows 10
  • Run RKill
  • Run Check Disk
  • When I tried to run the stand alone WGCheck it could not find the game as installed by the Game Center and when I pointed to it manually it gave an error that it was an "Unsupported game client: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
  • I was able to run the report from the Game Center and I have attached it to this post.  Attached File   20180113_120813.zip   48.47K

If anyone has any ideas on what could be the problem please let me know.

Try unplugging it and plugging it back in.

Yes, I know how meme of an answer that is, but sometimes it works.

Or just rebooting.

Sometimes that works too.

I reset to factory settings on my Windows.

You can try this thread:

I'm no computer expert by any means, but from what I understand from technology savvy friends, it can be a very long list of possibilities.  Just gonna have to troubleshoot until you figure out what it is and fix it.
