Start my session with > 81% on my scorpion.  Thinking maybe I could get to 85%.  Eleven battles later, all eleven Tier X, all with low 40% Tier X players on my team, I finish 0 for 11 with 69% Gun Mark.

 

I don't know how people do these things.

winning is irrelevant for MOE. stop suiciding? for you to drop that much in 11 games, you did at most 1 shot per game. thats not a team problem. even on a [edited]team you should be able to squeeze 2k per game out of that thing, as long as you are remotely trying

You're absolutely right, because I know I had several zero-damage games, when we were down six to none in less than two minutes.

terrible teams should almost always equate to huge damage numbers for a tank like that...

dudes right, you are not thinking selfishly at all. win or lose get your damage. realize its not dependent on how well you help your team per se, but how you farm.

​The Skorpion G is one of the easiest tanks to chai snipe in lol, shouldn't have a problem with your teammates yoloing in anyways.

Two or three marking a tank requires at least a bit of metagaming.  When possible, play when MM is most likely to give you the battle tier you'd prefer to see.  Take a break from that tank if MM is consistently giving you "melt in 2 minute" teams that make even farming damage difficult.  Don't play that tank while tilting.  So on along these lines.

Bad teams yes, absolutely horrible teams, at least as compared to the other team, not so much.  You need at least a little meat shield to farm damage, and horrible teams tend to yolo and die in ways that don't give you many shots and/or camp the redline so hard you've no room to maneuver.

 

Edit:  which isn't to say I believe all of those losses were because of teams that bad.  He should have been able to farm damage in some of them at least, that or he should have taken a break from the tank.

yep figured as much. i know that feel.  been there. am there. 

 

heres a little tip. start off with a tank you arent marking of the same tier. see how the teams are. if you notice a derp trend, dont play the tank you are making.  as you well know sometimes this game reaches critical mass for autism and games go to crapfor hours on end

i pray to god it is the G and not the tier 7 abomination. that said, the tier 7 should be 3 markable with 200DPG from what ive seen lol

I got my first mark in my IS-3 last night after two losses in a row, but I was in the top 3 for damage and bottom tier for both the games, well, bottom tier for all five game I played in it last night trying to get to that 65% (started the night at 63.75% or something like that).

I think you are wrong or the MoE are bug but I have 81% in my SU-100 with 705dm and 117dmg ally, it has been a difficult task for me for the battles in tier 8 and something I have noticed is that the MoE of my SU -100 only go up when passing 1000dmg I can not do less, if I make 800dmg or 900dmg the low percentage I have to do more than 1000 damage for that percentage to rise.

yeah, until you get cancerous funnel maps like mt pass and a team that is down by half their tanks before you can reload 3x...

Depends. Yes you can have huge #s because of a bad team, after all there all still 15 targets and you're the only hitting anything. BUT at the start of the game I have just gotten settled in at the far side flank when the near side flank has all ready collapsed. Kinda hard to be effective when you have light tanks up your [edited]and heavy's/mediums still at the front door within a minute or two of the start of the game. You under estimate how fast crapcan go south with a crapteam.

im not interested in arguing over the 1/100 games that are the exception to the rule.

 

its perfectly common to have much higher damage on a bad team driving the tank in question (or any extremely accurate/high pen TD).  if you are having multiple strings of 0 damage games...its not the teams.

You never know.  After 3 markets by my tiger 2 I was over working on marks so I just goofed around.   I was checking my E75 and saw it was at 79%. I was playing for fun so I didn’t care. Would up getting up to 85.25 in 1 game. 6% jump. Only had 2600 dmg and about 1600 spotting. Had no clue that’s all it would take to two mark it.

Never try to save a pubby.  Always use them as bait for dmg farming.
