I'm shopping to go up a new line and eyeing the Chinese and Czech light/medium lines...  I've heard some good things about both the Chinese light, and Czech lines...  Also the Chinese lights, I could get a Type 64 for a trainer.  If you've been down these lines can you give me some feedback on them?  I'm especially looking for a line that is strong from Tier VI thru VIII as I'm just starting to break into those tiers.

Czech line is probably at its weakest at tier 7 and 8. The Skoda T25 and the tiers 9 and 10 in that line are great, however.

As for the Chinese LT's, they are pretty good, and the Type 64 is quite OP if you know how to play it.

I am currently grinding through the chinese lights, I am up to Tier 8 and I am really enjoying the grind. 59-16 is not bad but it' not great either, WZ-131 and WZ-132 are AWESOME, not the best mobility but the guns on both of them are great.

On the other hand I also have the TVP T-50/51, both tier 9 and tier 10 are awesome as well but the problem with that line are the tier 7 and the tier 8, SPECIALLY THE TIER 8, the TVP VTU must be one of the worst tanks tier for tier in the game it is simply awful in every aspect. Problem with this line: You don't have a great premium tank to train your crews, only the Skoda T40 that is kinda meh.

Chinese LTs  are a blast to play but the mediums aren't the most entertaining anymore with all the new tanks. Czech are barrels of fun even the tier 7 but the tier 8 is miserable

I have played the Chinese light medium heavy line they are great tanks but they are a bit different then Western & European tanks as they have really low gun depression but are good at flanking city fighting also if you do the Chinese lights it better that you use a type 62 if you have one as a crew trainer as the type 64 is a 5 man tank & the 5 Chinese lights are 4 men tank also the same can be said for the Chinese tier 7, 8, 9, 10 if you wish to go down that line I suggest you buy a T-34-3 or try ur luck with the loot boxes to get a type 59 for crew training they are basically that same tank 1 just uses a 122mm the other a 100m

I've played both tech trees finishing the entire Czech line and roughly 90% of the Chinese tech tree with only two TDs and the tier 9 scout left.

I would say that Chinese tanks are much more forgiving to play because they're fairly well rounded. If you want to play the medium line skip playing the T-34-1 because the 34-2 at tier 8 is one of the most power creeped tanks in need of buffs right now. To get the tier 9 and 10 mediums go down the scout line because those are a lot of fun to play and much easier grinds albeit with somewhat higher xp to unlock the next tank.

As for Czech tanks the lower tiers are kind of meh but the tier 6, 9 and 10 all have autoloaders so you know you're in for a treat with those. The tier 7 is kind of lackluster and you'll need to carry some gold with that thing as the pen is a bit lacking. The tier 8 TVP VTU many consider to be one of the worst tanks in the game but if you liked the Panther II this will be quite similar playstyle albeit with no armor to speak of. The TVP VTU unlike the Panther II has a 105mm gun that is only mountable on the larger upgraded turret and this gun while having higher pen and alpha its gun handling is atrocious. I've always recommended people to use the stock turret for better gun handling with the second 88mm while carrying some gold rounds because then you can play it like a support sniper away from the action especially with its respectable camo values. Lastly make sure to try and avoid being the first tank into combat because once you're spotted in most Czech tanks it gives arty a raging hard on because their HE is likely to pen all but the tier 7 T-34/100.

The tier 8 is actually quite deadly in the right hands since its basically like playing a Panther II with better DPM, camo, and mobility is slightly better.

Only downside is the lack of armor and once you're spotted arty will instantly focus you because their HE has a high chance of penning.

Czech:

  • Tier 6 can be a keeper for use in strongholds, or starting out fresh crew
  • Tier 9 is a keeper
  • Tier 10 is arguably better than the batchat.  Less penetration/camo, and top speed, but way better reload, gun handling and intra clip (total burst is lower).  Additionally with optics/vents/vstab, a decent crew and running food you can hit 500m view range, and infringe on the batchat's "spotter" strengths.  or still have huge view range w/out food

Chinese LT

  • Type 64 is a great tank, long ago I had rage sold the WZ 132 (3 years ago?) but kept the crew for the 64 (along with that extra crewman required)
  • I just bought the WZ132 back to try to fix the record in it (up so far from 48 to 51/52%  :/  going to regrind it elite, and then unsure if I'll go further, I keep hearing the tier 9 is a huge let down.  the 10 I played on test and it's quite fun on big maps

Chinese MT

  • I've only played them on test.  they're a medium, with a HT gun, and trollish gun and challenging gun depression.  pick it up if you're a masochist.

Chinse HT

  • same, only played on test.  the 5a is a very high dpm heavium, very mobile, I intend to get one eventually.  I had saved up a bunch of free xp, and skipped to the tier 9 fully researched.  Just working a crew for it to finish "the grind"
  • 113, also played on test.  the long hull, with the mid mounted turret can make it challenging to play for even decent players.  If you can get to the side of a super heavy like a Maus, it's game over, but it's not really my cup of tea

Chinese premium tanks are boss.  The 59-Patton has excellent gun handling and great view range (it may not be for everyone), the T-34-3 can be quite troll, and the Type 59 is, well, the Type 59.  The Type 64 is a beast at tier 6 and the Type 62 is not only a very effective tank, it is also a very aesthetically pleasing tank too, whereas the Czechs have the Skoda T 40.  A serviceable tank, but neither beauty NOR beast.

IF you can survive the slog to Skoda T 50, it is worth the wait as that is a great tank.  However, the mediums on the Chinese tree are all pretty decent (full disclosure, I am only at the tier 8 T-34-2 myself).

If you want an autoloader and are patient, then go down the Czech line.  Otherwise, go Chinese.

If you don't own a type 64 and can pick one up - do it.

personally I've enjoyed both grinds and as others have already said - the tier 9 Czech tank is basically sex on 2 tracks with a gun.

the tier X Chinese light tanks is a blast to play.  It's got great agility, good gun, and is also 40t weight that goes 60kph.  You put controlled impact on that thing and you can almost kill any other light tank by ramming them and shooting them.  It's pretty hilarious, really.

Why not both?

If 1 tank dies early in battle, back to garage and grab the other.

Type 64 definitely worth it.

im currently at the 132 on the chinese light line, and the grind is well worth it. The type t34 at tier 5 is amazing, tier 6 is good, tier 7 is my favourite light tank, and the 132 im still getting used to with the MM.

Go chinese. You can split to meds from light line and great premium tank.

As for czech, I tried, but their fake tanks are ugly and weak.

Here's my take:

Chinese:

- Best premiums supporting those lines

- But two of the best are difficult to come by (59 and 62)

- Chinese lights in the tech tree are meh

- Chinese mediums are meh-

- Chinese heavies are the bomb - basically the mediums with better armor, DPM and HP

Czech

- Tier 6 T25 is good

- T50 and 50/51 are amazing and super fun

- The rest of the tree is lacking

If I had to choose one, and was not going down the Chinese heavy line, it would be the Czech line hands down

czech

T5 is passable but allergic to 105 HE rounds

T6 is amazing.

T7 is passable.

T8 worst of the line. it can be frustrating to play especially when facing high tiers

T9 is great

T10 is great

the other week was it t/6 & 7 prems were on gold sale, found it was a very good, and worth while pick-up. as i picked up the ger med 7 panther/m10, like it good, makes loads of creds when you have a good game. also picked up my 1st chineese tank the type64, its a beast. it does have a 5man crew, as pointed out above in a post, where as the other chineese lights are 4crews. the main point of the type64 is that gun depression, makes it versatile. when prems go on another, worthwhile sale i plan to pick up the 112 use that as a possible skirm/& CW tank, and a trainer. will work my way, consider keeping the std china hvy-8, moving up to both 10s, the new one has good reviews from my peeps who have gotten there. the china lights are quite good, mainly limited by that gun depression, other than that can be quite OP.

while i working on the new china hvy line, im also planning to go czech med, that 10 seems to be coveted, and the 9 is a tough customer to meet. you may not survive that meet. have to plan a girl crew to man a fresh czech 10. and the chineese 10 111-5a. that looks like all the girl crews, sigh, if i can work out that many,-.

oh almost forgot, the chinnese mediums seem to have so-so reviews, the 8s are cheesy gun handling, they are ok, the china prem/gold 8 is again the gun handling is wishy-washy. meh they are ok, possibly plan to unlock the 7 donno and just leave it there for right now. im getting to the obj140, best med, for the most part, dont need a kind of ok new line to go up, and would need the new crew(s) to go up the line too.

To me the Chinese line seems a lot like the Soviets line, except with better gun handling. :great:
