Wartpeck was banded in November of 2012... you are over 5 years late with this thread.

Everything in the pack is available individually, or in whole, from a hundred different hacker sites. I wouldn't doubt 20% of players are running some banned mod.

Catching cheaters is one thing, unless Wargaming just bans mods, which won't happen. So, I just don't worry about it. Cost of doing business here. I run vanilla for the challenge.

Warpack isn't a big issue in this game. If you think cheats are really affecting your experience, you're wrong.

What's happening is that you're worse than you think, and you aren't able to accept it. Denial, in one word.

The re-roll is right!

Hacks are low on the priority list of WoT problems. More important things: The 3/5/7 mm template needs some tuning or throw out that template and replace it with 5/5/5 or something different. Balance of premium ammo needs to be addressed as well. Why don't they add over-penetrations to the ammo mechanics so that if your ammo has too much penetration, you do greatly reduced damage (i.e. the shell passed completely through the tank and did minimal damage). This would force players to choose the correct ammo for the situation instead of just spamming gold ammo all the time.

The re-roll has... some points?  Over penetrations are more viable for larger engines like warships, besides, that fails to take the mechanics of the actual rounds into account.  It would place a disadvantage on APCR rounds (HEAT don't overpenetrate; that isn't the chemistry OR physics behind the round).  You cannot "force players to choose the correct ammo" since it is their credits/gold they're wasting.  WG is a business after all.

Pretty sure seal clubbers are more detrimental for new player retention.

^ Pretty much this.

Hi guys I farm 4k wn8 at tier 2 and I think my opinion is valued.

Nice.

I was wondering when someone would bring that up.  And since you average tier 10, your opinion is one I would take over most.

Rerolls and seal clubbers are the real cancer.

They certainly can be if the former overpopulate the lower tiers (5 and below), and the latter if they aren't occasionally clubbed by packs of "club-hunters" to keep them honest...

No, cancer is a disease that kills you.

Re-rolls and seal clubbers only make you stronger.

Yes.

Well, I am not going to get into the whole "snowflake" thing, but some gamers DO seem to have a more delicate constitution than others...

Who the hell would pay for warpack when you can get all the pieces free?

What?  Some gaming rag did an article on how big a difference WP really made. Can just read a description of its capabilities will tell you that it gives those users a huge edge over those who don't use it.  If it didn't make a difference, it wouldn't be a "banned" addon.  I think that those trying to downplay its impact are people that use it.

See LemmingRush's video on Cheating in WoT. A guy streamed with every hack in the game multiple times, and granted, he did better than average, but he didn't do nearly as well as a lot of people who stream with no mods. Cheat mods may put a couple % on your winrate, but they're not going to get you from green to purple. The real unicums know when and where to reposition, and I have yet to see a cheat mod that tells you that.

Not sure how you think they can ban warpack. They can only ban people who are caught using it. As to how good their detection method is, that is certainly a good subject to speculate on.

This game is more threaten by players who can't seem to learn its basic mechanics and still play like crapafter 45,000 battles.  There are significantly more players who fit that description than use illegal mods.

The short answer is that it's already illegal to use.

The longer answer is that they don't seem to do anything about those people who use it.

But, woe unto those who use the free versions of them.

I think the issues are within the mechanics of the game per update 1.0, spotted and 6tu sense doesn't go off, Arty nails ya n kills 6a once again no 6th Sense, TDS camping, do not lose camo values when firing less than 200 meters away, stuff like that

They will never get rid of mods, cheat, or hacks. This is part of their style. Cheat until you get caught, then just cheat again.

Just because something CAN be had, doesn't mean it's OKAY to use.

Yes, really, all illegal mods in WP have been not allowed for years... that doesn't mean you can't find them on the internet in various places. WG is not the internet police.

I'm not sure how much warpack is used in the game.  Much can be explained by game mechanics.  Three examples that can lead to the conclusion that I'm using cheats:

1.  I often play TD's.  I have a pretty good idea where to put my tank where I can't been detected due to bushes.  My Stug III, for example, starts with a high cammo rating, has a 5 skill crew, each with 100% cammo, I have cammo paint, and cammo netting.  You're just not going to see me shoot you.

2.  If a tank is moving in a straight line or if it's sitting static, I might sometimes make a guess as to location.  There are some common bushes/locations where light tanks or TD's might park.  If there's nothing to shoot at, or if a shell comes from the direction of a certain bush, I'll drop a shell or two into the area if only to flush out the tank.

3.  I'll play sight range games.  There's a delta between view range and detection range where players can play in the open.  So if there's a tank spotted by a teammate, I'll keep that tank in view range, but keep out of its spotting range, and shoot with impunity.  This is my M.O. with the e25, for example.

In my TD, my entire play style is designed to shoot while unseen.

Says the perfect seal clubber ... People like this are the reason noob players dont stick arround.

E25 is NOT a Seal Clubbing tank.  You can't Seal Club above tier 4.  If someone wants to swim in the deeper end of the pool before they are ready, well, that's on them, not those with more experience.

Just so you know.  Seal Clubbing is NOT a thing above tier 4.  At that point, the "Seal" should have plenty of ability to swim and fend for itself.  If not, well, then, nature is just weeding out the weak.

e25 is Tier 7 -- not even close to "baby seal clubbing."  Moreover, as you can see from my sig below, the average tier that I play nowadays is higher than that.  The point that I was making is that learning how the game actually works is worth the time.
