Although I disagree with the rarity issue regarding Soviet tanks. The Germans set up factories specifically to refurbish captured Russian tanks. It seems unlikely that they'd go to that much trouble for the occasional one off. And of course the Germans used a lot of french tanks also, some of which are in the French tech tree.
Basically the Germans used anything they could get their hands on. I've seen pictures of Shermans, Matildas, Crusaders, you name it. In N.Africa the Germans fielded entire units comprised entirely of captured British tanks. And I believe the 10th SS PD had a unit of Sherman tanks on the Western Front.
