Is my opnion, now he cannot do sidescraping if the enemy has a cannon greater than 120mm. I think could be 45mm or 50mm, understand that tank is not OP, your roof can be overmatched and there are 2 cupolas there to easy pen! Tell me your opinion, what u think?

thats a really tiny strip of armor you have to aim for, which is hidden from any tank that is taller than you so i dont think it will be too much of an issue.

i would be more concerned about protecting that 200mm lower glacies

I wouldn't be against them making it 45mm thick if they made the transmission part of the damage model instead of it just being spaced armor. Then you could actually land damaging shots when trying to track it

I tested him now with my friend, everything with caliber greater tahn 120mm is penning him on sides even with extreme angles! Its penning the spaced armor and track angled, its worst than T-10 now! Thx wargaming u realy know how to balance!

Me want tank that has no weak spots so I don't have to do anything but sidescrape. The already has those, German and Japanese super heavies. The game absolutely does not need anymore super heavies.

Whats wrong with super heavies? you only want paper tanks so you don't have to use any skill or brains to destroy a tank?

I think object 257 is far away from super heavys tank, but remember that end at IS-7, tank well armored.

The trouble is that the angle of that hull is forcing it to either be a guaranteed autobounce or a guaranteed overmatch depending on gun caliber. If the former, then it'll be even more durable for its tier than either the IS-3 or the IS-7 in theirs (and completely broken in any case). If the latter, then its no different in practice than the T-10. And since they don't yet have a new tank to come after the T-10, I call the whole rearrangement asinine and pointless.

I know but he has a lot of weakspots without being "sides". Roof on turret can  be overmatched, 2 cupolas, lower glacis and etc.. So at least one thing is Strong side armor.

I know right, but most of tanks on tier 9 have more than 120mm caliber on cannon. So u dont do sidescraping because u gonna be overmatched all the time, if u try hull down can be overmatched too and there is 2 cupolas. Another thing about track and do damage, for this WG must redesing the tank I think!

I play some matches with tier 9, and to play against tier 7 will happen as 2-10 battles. -_-

Yep, they way overnerfed it.  The T10 is a really nice tank actually.  Different gameplay, but a good-great soviet tank non-the-less.  This one gets its sides penned by the tier 7 IS all day every day not matter what angle.  Considering it has a worse turret and significantly worse gun performance than the T-10, I don't see the IS7 line becoming any more popular with this change.   The good thing is that most players that wanted an IS-7 already have it.  As far as the new players are concerned, they will really struggle to make this tank effective.  Where is this "Russian Bias" I keep hearing about when everything Russian other than the tier 9/10 RU meds and LTs is absolute trash.

Like I say, now is a trash because everything gonna overmatche him! WG really dont know to balance the game, the people cryed about been side too Strong but forget the other weakspots, there is nothing OP on that tank except the sides and now he sucks.

yeah they absolutely ruined it. It's supposed to be a good head on brawler with some decent side armor protection but now that it's been nerfed to basically tier 7 armor it would barely be good enough against tier 6 to 8 but of course it's almost always in tier 10 battles. They just took it from one extreme to the other, from OP to POS
