If you're good they're op.

However a noob will yolo too far, splerg their magazine, and get killed.

You will need gold, but only for certain enemies.

I know a lot of the best Luch players NA.

They are unstoppable and quite relentless.

I do pretty well without gold, but you've got to get use to the playstyle of fast, light tanks with no armor.  They can be destroyed easily, but they're good once you figure out when to make your move and finish off damaged tanks or how to quickly attack at the right times and get back to safety to reload without dying.  A lot of the time it's about quickly darting around the side or rear of a heavier armored tank and staying behind its turret so it can't point it's gun at you.  You can usually shoot anything in the rear of the hull or back of the turret where the armor is weaker, at close range, and do lots of work on it.

As an experienced player, I do very well in my Luchs and it's the only tier 4 I still really enjoy playing.

When I first got it after only 1000 games of experience, I used the speed to yolo out way too far and die early after getting off a single clip.

The Luchs' best traits require a skilled player to take the best advantage of.

Nah... have you tried playing it?  I don't see it on your list of vehicles.

Ugh, these comments always wanting to remove unique mechanics, maps and vehicles from the game.  Bleh, boring outcome.  If it was OP, sure maybe balance it with small, careful tweaks... but it's only strong at close range if played just right.

Luchs (too cute to die) is a great little tank at tier 4 but it takes a lot to make it work, you can't just yolo and expect to win. I've got Mastery badge in it more times than I can remember but it takes a good crew and if you run it with the auto cannon lots of planning before unloading your next clip, personally I also like the 50 mm single shot gun on it but it takes bit more APCR due to lower pen on AP rounds when bottom tier and faced with no flanking opportunities. :)

Yeah sure, because having a tank that can get anywhere, dump 300 damage in the face to ANY same tier tank and then run away to reload like it's nothing is balanced and good for the game.

That piece of cancer even has more pen that the rest of tier 4 lights with real guns.

Its one of the t4's I still like, although I use the 5cm gun not the autocannon.

Taugrim has a Luchs Unicum Guide/Review that might be helpful in understanding the vehicle - https://www.youtube....h?v=mYSc7EYQYxk

I imagine it's like that because you usually can't do much damage at range with it unless you use a different gun, so you are at the mercy of tanks with more accurate and/or bigger guns. That's what makes it unique, it's very easy to do horrible in it unless you can get in the right position and know how to play it.  There's plenty of other tanks that can completely destroy you from a distance, but get wrecked close-up.  I would hate to see everything be the same and boring.  Again, have you tried playing it?  I urge you to do so for a while and let me know when you are able to play 20... or even 10 games in a row with it and be at the top of the scoreboard in each match.  If it's that OP, it should be no problem.

Not trying to be snarky, just saying, things are not as they seem until you actually experience it yourself.... you will probably gain some insight and have a different perspective after doing so.

i would be surprised if it pens an entire clip for 300 unless you are really up close. usually you get about 100-150 dmg.
