Looks like we're screwed.

In short, no tournaments or Esports for the remainder of the year.

It took too long and still nothing here in the forums.

WarGaming announced it on the Forums just a few days ago - No tournaments, league or other competitive play beyond CW.

They should bring back ranked team battles. I dont see any reason why we couldn't have a season of ranked team battles in place of tournaments.

Thoughts?

Everyone keeps ignoring this part

"So, what's next?

This change of format comes from our deep commitment to eSports and World of Tanks competition. We are working hard to create a new model that will fit our core game design and player experience while also effectively highlighting and showcasing top competitors. However, because we're still ironing out the details, we don't want to spoil the surprise just yet. You can expect more information later this year; just know that we have set out to redefine what everyone thinks World of Tanks eSports is to make it even more enjoyable and accessible.

While we polish the new eSports format, in-game tournaments will continue to support the competitive nature of the game and its community "

If that's the case, can we have the old maps back that they pulled because they weren't compatible with their effort to make RNG-based esports a thing?

Never fear, Esports is still happening! The player-run WoT Community league is happening as a replacement for Gold League! We had our first meeting earlier tonight (was announced on the forums) and progress is in motion. Expect more announcements shortly.

To clarify, the bolded and underlined doesn't apply to NA.

No one ignored that, but over a year of no tournaments is what everyone is upset about.

except the part where WGNA said that it was done for NA for 2018 and that the other servers may till do them but NA wouldn't.  Full reading comprehension is hard yo.

yet on the EU server they are having tournaments for the Elc even 90

https://worldoftanks...ven-tournament/

and yet NA kills off the tournaments  because they have no one interested in Running it anymore

the Community has said they would help run it for them but ... no response about that which is just typical of Wargaming NA of late  they just dont care anymore
