Improvements to the Matchmaker


- The improvements to the matchmaker will ensure more even distribution among the battle types enabled by players (Standard Battle, Attack/Defense, Encounter Battle, Grand Battle). The battle type selector will consider the history of the player's previous battles. The Grand Battles will not come in a succession.

My only problem with it is that I only want to play standard, random battles. I guess if the queue time is long, I'll click exit battle before it can throw me into something else.

     This will slow down queue's and force me to play modes I have disabled or bail after 40 seconds slowing it down even more...

Matchmaking Improvements

9.22’S update will improve the matchmaker to allow tankers to encounter different Battle Modes (in your preferred list) more often.

This means, in your next Random Battle, the mode (Standard, Assault, Encounter, or Grand Battle) has less chance of reoccurring if you’ve already fought one.

This will help avoid encountering the same Battle Mode several times in a row (more often with Grand Battles). But entering a Grand Battle every other match is still possible.

To get the most out of the new mechanic, the matchmaker needs data on the last 50 matches played after 9.22’s release. It works best when you’ve played 50+ battles after the update.

When it takes too long to assign a player to a battle, the matchmaker may add extra Battle Modes to those you’ve marked. If the wait takes more than 50 seconds, you’ll enter the first available match in any mode.
 
Dose this mean if I have Assault not checked off, I may get an Assault game if waiting more that 50 seconds?

In case wargaming has not noticed that most player play standard battles in pubs, because the other two game modes are a total "CAMP FEST"!

So what would be the improvement?????

I do NOT want to play Attack or Encounter battles, that's why I unchecked them.

 

I will be bailing out of the queue at 40 seconds if this MM feature is not reversed.

I do not like the idea that I can get shoved into modes I have turned off. I will take others suggestion here and exit the que at 40 seconds.

Hardly an improvement if you never play the other game modes. In fact, no improvement at all. How does this fix one team being almost all purple players, and the other team almost all orange or red players? Thats what needs to be fixed. Along with removing the 3 arties on each team.

Chump indeed.  Try reading:  When it takes too long to assign a player to a battle, the matchmaker may add extra Battle Modes to those you’ve marked. If the wait takes more than 50 seconds, you’ll enter the first available match in any mode.

That's an awfully aggressive post from somebody who is most likely wrong

Thank for your rude and insulting reply.

You should read before you give somebody $hi# on his comment.

If you have the encounter/ assault battles in your in game setting unchecked (because they are a camp fest) you still will have the same longer queue issue.

Besides the point that wargaming did not fix the the issue what most people with the new matchmaker have.

It is being bottom tier about 70% of the time :-/

You know, there are a good number of players who don't know how to play maps correctly in normal pub matches.  And now, you are going to force them, and the rest of us into matches with these same idiots in a different format where they will likely do worse than normal.

 

Cabbage, I strongly suggest you tell upper management to reverse this decision or expect a large number of submitted tickets by players every time we're forced into a match type we do not have selected.

Actually the MM is worse! When I play my Tier 10's I want to play Grand Battles! Not get stuck on other maps in all tier 10 matches! So last night I played about 30 battles and had 3 or 4 GB's. I only have 2 modes checked so I feel like I should get GB close to 50% of the time while playing during Prime Time but, not even close.

 

I understand that some may not want to play GB but all you should have to do is uncheck them.

 

This has to be one of the STUPIDEST MM changes you've made yet!

This is no change to your match making! This is just a ruse to make idiots think you are doing something. Why don't you try making some real changes rather that wasting time on you smoke and mirrors BS?
