Hey Tankers,

As you may have heard, we are currently developing a new Italian tank line with a unique new feature - "autoreloading" weapons systems. See more here:

We are beginning to hone this mechanic in closed tests on full-scale 3D mockups tuned for Tiers VIII, IX, and X.

Our main goals right now:
  • defining the optimal reloading time—both for shifting shells inside the cylinder, and adding new ones when the cylinder is partially empty;
  • balancing other values like DPM and penetration.

This complex approach will hopefully ensure that upper-tier Italian tanks with autoreloaders are fun to play and well balanced.

As for the 3D mockups mentioned above, these are crude models with little detail, which we also call “tank dummies”. They are similar in shape, armoring, and dimensions to real tanks that appear later on. Later on we will test new mechanics before we introduce new vehicles, and will continue to utilize placeholders so we can develop those mechanics alongside the final models simultaneously.

Here's some early incarnation stat profiles:

See you on the battlefield!

thats some high pen on a tier 9 medium, with a very high top speed too, looks like a dangerous tank at tier 9 that could get in fast and drop huge damage.  More pen than most tier 10 mediums.

No worries.  After you research it, that will all be readjusted in the following patch.

New vehicle lines and mechanics are always interesting. This idea's pretty cool. Looking forward to more.

Where's the M11/39? Is it turning into a kangaroo tank?

Taken straight from AW, but still an interesting addition nonetheless. But be careful with balancing, since many opportunities to fire at an enemy only last long enough for a very short burst, this sort of mechanic may overpower both single-shot guns and conventional autoloaders if implemented carelessly.

Considering the current autoloaders are 100% fake anyway and need fixed as autoloaders all fired slower than manual loading tanks. Since the average manual loader was 3-4 seconds with autoloaders around 8 seconds between shots. They need to boost the ROF of heavies or nerf lights/mediums to the same crap ROF. Not to mention the smaller short barrels of lights/med would cause complete crap accuracy and not the super accuracy they currently have.

It's not that high. Just like any other British L7 105mm gun.  Like on leopard pta and centurion 7/1

Something I noticed..... They said an Italian tank is already in the game for half a year now.. Does this mean the Pudel is in the Italian tech tree? Cuz other wise I have no clue which tank they meant..
