1.0 Tank floating in air after being destroyed

After being destroyed, my tank was sitting in a crater but floaing about track height above the crater.  M4 Rev.

I saw the same thing. My tank was destroyed and my tank was floating above the crater. I panned around my tank it was still floating.

Looks like destroying a tank "carves" a crater in the terrain, but the tank model stands on top of the normal terrain collision instead of the crater collision.

this is true.... and the same if u are driving under a hols made from shots  

thats happens with any tank

I had the same problem... Turned off Terrain Tessellation and it solved the problem. Something to do with DirectX 11 I think.

Sounds like if anyone else can reproduce that fix/effect, you may be onto something. I haven't been around solid internet long enough to get the 1.0 test yet or I'd try it out.

Yeah i have the same issue. I mean this is why we have the test server so WG can work out all these bugs; game still looks amazing.

They really should have ONE in house test setup.   No development center of any value is without a test setup. 


 

One of the primary skills you look for when hiring programmers is testing.   And one of the primary development tools is a test setup.

 

The game does look amazing.   And the floating tanks add to that amazement.


 

Something that easy to spot really should not have made it to the Common Test servers.

Yeah, same problem. I'll have to try turning off terrain tessellation and see what happens.
