I have hacked a little utility that can swap in and out tank skins and voice pack files in a matter of seconds.

These saves the laborious manual backup/replace/play/retreive backup and replace scenario.

I'm just finishing up testing on my machines and I need a guinea pig in the next week or so to test it for me.

Can you do something like this and have a screen shot?

T-34, 1943 Model - but with the T-34-84 body modules so that it has gas tanks? - - Possible? if it is I would be willing to do a testing.  Link to am image string - PM me is you are active with this post and interested... will bookmark for ref/reply checking.

I'm not an artist.

but if you can supply the .dds files i can make it an easy job to install and uninstall the mod.

Not the skin - the modules swapping.

Pretty sure you can play with the turret and the gun models, (Maus turret on an MS-1 anyone?) and you can still go in game (with no game effect of course, just odd visuals), but you cannot swap out the body model and join battle. That technique is used for skinners to see a model of a tank they do not actually possess and you are stuck in the garage with it. Here is a current thread on the subject, there have been many in the past...

I am intrested in giving this a try,is it still in the buggy faze or have you gotten past that? And where would I download from.

I seem to have gotten past bugs now.

just tidying it up to look a little morre professional.

Want to test a couple of other mods (voices etc ) over the weekend and will then make a download available.

Also need to test some failsafe features eg can't keep loading Hetzer skins on top of one another... enforce must remove one before loading the next.

Does this program work with .dds files too?

Yes, all the skin mods available are swapping the .dds files

The crosshair mod swaps a .swf file

The voice mod swaps .fev and .fsb files.

I think any file can be swapped with this app.
