I don't know if it's really the IS-7. Check out this gem of a game from a Super Conqueror that beat me out for a chevron.

I would guess that module damage (zero damage crits) must count as much as, or pretty close to regular damage.

I wonder about the formula they use daily, I had 3 games last night in ranked were I lead the team in damage,# of enemy's hit and kills and finished 8th or lower in xp. Yes I was playing arty but still.

Probably because he was at the point of attack. XP system has always favored tanks at point of attack.

I did not expect there to be hidden xp bonuses on regular tier 10s but this thread proved that at least two tanks have it the other being the Super Conqueror. I wonder how many other regular tanks are affected and this opens the door wide open to much more foil wrapping now that something has been proven to be fact.

So, shooting tracks gets you just as much XP as doing actual damage?

The IS-7 is beginning to look a lot like a Volkswagen...

Hello Tankers,

After reviewing this thread and the report that caused it to be moderated, I have removed the point from Scorpiany's record and am reinstating this thread.  I initially messaged him about this yesterday afternoon, and after my review and his response, I do not believe that it was his intent to name and shame any of the players shown in the images in the original post.  I would like to ask, both Scorpiany and the rest of you, that if you are posting a scoreboard screenshot please black out the other names unless it is absolutely essential to your thread content and does not violate forum rules.  You may not intend to offend someone, but they might not want their name broadcast to the community at large next to a particularly bad game (and we all have them from time to time).

Regarding Scorpiany's original post,  I do not agree with his position on the question of bias, and neither do many of the individual vehicle statistics.  However, we are looking into this and will file a report if our findings corroborate his belief that there is a base XP discrepancy on the IS-7.

have you considered using this situation as a teachable moment for an in-service with the moderator team?

I second that motion... I received a strike last year for something similar. Posting screen shots shouldn't require you to learn image editing just to post evidence of some events in a match when you aren't specifically targeting or shaming anyone (well, other than WarGaming). Sports and other games routinely post complete stats of matches for the point of displaying the outcome of said match, and there is no intent to "shame", just to show what happened.

x.

Strange because people can post replays, and the players' names are not blacked out.

it really isn't just the IS7.   I can't believe this is just now being discussed.  it happens with a lot of vehicles.  And it changes.  Especially after you buy a premium tank and then it's NERFED?   hahahah.   whew.

Great post though.  I doubt anything will happen.

WHY THE F**** IS SWAMP IN RANKED QUE

It's nice of WG to realize that a map is so bad it isn't used in a competitive mode, but not rework it or remove it for pubs.

As posted in the other thread, which not one of the rabid pitchfork wielding people even acknowledged.

Here is a counter to this thread. I know it is a single screenshot of a single battle.

Sample size matters BOTH ways.

Spoiler
Spoiler

Pretty logical to see 2 frags and 400 damage making up the difference in assisted damage. Even as a single battle, your screenshots don't back up the point you're trying to make.

As an IS-7 driver I tend to find nothing wrong with said accusations  :D  But said argument is pretty hard to turn an eye to.

Good researching and attached proof.

I could be wrong but I thought I read somewhere that Arty splits EXP with the spotter on their damage.  That could be wrong so don't sue me if it is..but I thought I read that somewhere.

This is the case with every tank, but arty is almost never able to spot its own targets so it is fairly universally the case rather than situationally for other tanks.

I'm not naming & shaming the players, the players are just playing the game. It's the tank that there's an issue with.

Edit: Well... What do you know... Apparently you were right. I got struck down for "name and shame". I guess I'll have to edit the names out next time, even if they're not being named nor shamed.

The sad thing is, they should feel shame.

XP in ranked has never seemed to mirror xp in random battles in my opinion.  It's like they are working with a separate algorithm.  I know I have both benefitted and suffered from this and scratched my head in both scenarios.

I would also agree with this notion. The rules seem to be applied very inconsistently, both in-game and on the Forums. I will send a private message to CabbageMechanic with further details, and a request for information.

Edit: The message has been sent. It is very extensive in nature, and covers multiple points which apply to both the Forums and in-game. It also inquires about the appeals process that we currently have in place.

im leaning toward this or brawling time after this recent match i had:

http://wotreplays.eu...17838ca90916442

was in a stock ISm

zero damage, tracked an IS7 once, gained almost as much exp as a sniping Badger with 1431 damage done. but i was alive near the heavy brawl almost the entire match.
