Gee I was looking for a post from the other day by a well know and liked contributor about how the IS-7 was getting more exp even when doing less overall damage than other tanks. The person that posted it even had screen shots showing an IS-7 with 0 damage done and like 1500 spotting (which only counts for 750 due to spotting damage only being worth 1/2 when figuring exp for a match) getting MORE EXP than a tank that had like 1800 damage and a kill or two. There were also other examples of the same thing happening with screen shots showing an IS-7 getting MORE exp for doing LESS overall.

Guess what...russian bias CONFIRMED by wg themselves in the after game results.

Will be interesting to see if this post disappears as well now that the truth is out there !!

I now have the link to the post I was speaking of in this post thanks to someone that found it.....not going to post it here cause i'm sure it will cause this topic to disappear so if you want the link send me a msg and I will get it to you.

Here is the link to the replays from the games where the IS-7 getting more exp than they should originated

 This is from Scorp.......

Since people keep asking for the replays, here you go. Yes, I spammed APCR for the torture that is playing Ranked Battles. And yes, it did feel good penetrating the enemy IS-7's turret with APCR in the first battle.

Replay 1: http://wotreplays.eu/site/4168497?secret=eacec1b63c01d117c2df15a8105661ff - Absolutely nothing that would justify the IS-7's on my team getting more XP. Not on this planet, not on the next. I should have finished top on XP and gotten a chevron, hands down.

Replay 2: http://wotreplays.eu/site/4168499?secret=eacec1b63c01d117c2df15a8105661ff - Enemy IS-7 contributes nothing to the battle beyond 400 spotting, still gets more XP than the BatChat who did 1,200 regular damage.

Replay 3: http://wotreplays.eu/site/4168504?secret=eacec1b63c01d117c2df15a8105661ff - All 3 of the enemy IS-7's get more XP than tanks that did significantly more damage. One of the IS-7's did 0 damage and 0 spotting, still gets more XP than the arty who did 1,200 damage. Because... He contributed, obviously.

I quit Ranked after seeing the XP results from these 3 battles, because it seemed pointless if the answer was to play an IS-7, which I don't own. If you can somehow explain the XP values for these IS-7's, I would love it - Because they make absolutely no sense to me.

Every tank has a different XP generation rate. If you are playing a tank that the majority of players suck in then XP will be given at a higher rate verse a TVP that is a high skill tank that has a high threshold. So if people want high XP play a very common noob tank like the IS-7.

Before you go all in on Alcoa stock, remember that all damage is equal.

this is incorrect. exp is largely based on alpha and pen chance.

also, as i mentioned in the IS7 thread, there are clear explanations for *most* of the posts there. but to determine the rest requires in depth analysis of the replays to see where and how the exp was earned.

Every tank has a different set of norms for that. However they have explained this a few times in the past guys.

He's talking about Scorpiany's post that showed 10 different screenshots from Ranked battles, so all same tier damage. IS-7's with 0 actual damage and 130 assistance were getting more xp than Batchats with 1300 actual damage.

It was very clearly broken in favor of the IS-7. No other RU tank in the screenshots seemed to have the same effect. There is clearly, undeniably, a hidden base xp multiplier on the IS-7.

Not sure why the post got removed, probably the "starting a thread with the intent of causing unrest on the forums" rule or some crap.

How to really deal with an IS-7. Consider the sword is the IS-7 ...

Everyone who plays this game has the opportunity to grind out and play an IS-7 without spending any cash.

So... meh.

Maybe all the players who can't help crying all the time should try a new game... like baseball, for instance, because;

There is nothing in the wiki that states “every tank has a different set of norms” in relation to xp.

The only time a player tank is mentioned when determining xp, is in doing damage. Which tier and type is just looked at.

So you need to link some proof please.

Can you explain why the tier 5 Russian premium Churchill III does 415 dmg per battle and makes 323 XP per battle when the tier 7 Russian premium KV-122 does 782 dmg per battle and only makes 298 XP ??  (vBAddict)

the only reason this should bother anyone is if only one group of people were allowed to own the IS-7 tank.  as as it's accessible to everyone it cannot be intrinsically unfair, no matter what exp it generates.

Did WG purge Scorpiany's thread? Is this the reason the Op is attention whoring instead of bumping the thread that was actually useful.
