Who thinks that the T32 has no pen? I personally enjoyed playing with this tank and was well pleased with is armor. The greatest disappointment of this tank is the horrible gun penetration. The lousy 170mm average pen of this tank at its best is worthless against most tanks of its tear and higher. Might I remind everyone that in tear VIII most tanks have more armor then 170 mm and with the theoretical armor it is slim that you will pen anything that is not a light or junk. Nothing needs to change on the T32 except for the pen even if it is just bumped to 200mm that is enough to keep it from being OP. It will still require skill to shoot but at least it will pen two or three times a game.

I haven't played the t32 since a few patches ago, but I was able to get the gun to work more often than not

Edit: Yes I agree the pen is lacking a bit though

First of all, it has 198 pen not 170... and yes it does need a buff. Especially with the way wargaming is shifting the meta with all these super heavies, low pen tanks are becoming more and more difficult to play. Remember though, that the VK 4502 A only has 200 pen as well, so the T32 is not alone with low pen. Not to mention all the old tier 8 heavies with pref mm that have 167 to 175 pen

The T26E5 completely invalidated the T32. Some of this is definitely because the T26E5 is tuned a bit too high, but most of it is because the literally only good thing about the T32 is its god-tier turret armor. It is somewhat mobile, but not really enough to call it so. The problem is that if you buff the pen, you also buff the pen of the T29, which is already one of the best tanks tier for tier in the game. Personally, I think an accuracy buff would be much better option. The low pen can work, but the problem is the accuracy is to bad that you cannot reliably hit weakspots. All in all, the T32 is in need of a buff for sure. It is suffering badly from powercreep.

I still think that the pen should be buffed to something like 215 to 220. Just give it a different gun or call it improved, maybe even give it a different shell type with the same gun. I can see that most would agree that this tank doesn't compete when it comes to penetration. Lets not for get the M103's first gun is also the same as the t32's and that is a miserable grind to the second gun. The T32 in my opinion is not popular at all because of this one factor. With best configurations there are no tier 8 heavies that fall below the 198 pen and the closest to the T32 is the vk45.02 which only has 200 pen. On a personal note I don't recall seeing ether of these tanks very frequently even though they are not bad.

P.S. Thanks Fireplace4 I was not reading the correct configuration. OseanTanker you are spot on when you say "accuracy buff".

The T32 has 300 more hp then the T26e5 yet is slower

It has an extra 4 feet of barrel length but it pens way worse.

It has lower rate of fire

It has way inferior hull armour.

It is less accurate.

All it seems to have is a trollish turret and a bit of alpha.

Um....I loved the T32 but never compared the two directly. This is kind of a farce.

I love this tank but would love to see it get a pen buff, I like the 220 mm number, a little less than an IS 3.  It is the only tank I carry a generous load of prem amo in.  Surprised a Jag E 100 hulled down and penned him again and again with the APCR.  I think with a pen buff this would be a very solid T 8 heavy, it's only weakness being it's hull.  Their is no comparison between it's turret and the T26E5 which you can pen with an M103 or a T 10 with AP at mid range.  I'd be surprised if it does not get a buff in the 2018.

I found the vehicle frustrating. Couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with the 105, and it bounced if it did. Hard to aim for weak spots when you typically missed The entire tank! The 90mm was accurate, but I couldn't afford to keep feeding it gold.

A small buff to pen on the 105 would suffice. 205 to 210 would be enough.

I enjoyed the tank, but I parked my T32 several patches ago too.  In the current 3/5/7 and super heavy meta, the T32 is more of a liability to the team and can be quite frustrating to play.

the reason why I sold my t29 was because there was no point in playing it if the next tank, the t32, seemed to be garbage with the poor pen, so I sold it and never touched the American heavy line again. although if it gets a pen puff ill resume.

honestly here's my opinion based on what i've seen lately, 220+pen is what the T32 needs on it's 105mm, it's got lousy accuracy and Okay aimtime and reload.....220+ would not break it, not when it's already got lousy accuracy and a okay reload and aimtime....now if the gun had something like .35 or better accuracy and sub 2 second aimtime and a sub 8 second reload.....yeah 220+pen would kinda teeter it into the OP zone, but that's not the case, i feel for T32 drivers considering that my T25AT's got the same gun as the T32, and well against tier 8's like the Obj-252U and fully upgraded IS-M's....i totally feel their pain, from the front, these new tier 8's just laugh at sub 210mm penetration gun's....but then again, the new tier 8's they introduced are really like tier 8.5 for the IS-M and tier 9.5 in the case of the VK100.01P and Obj-252U...but as it stands, the big roadblock towards a buff to the T32's pen is the T29: it's by far one of the better tier 7 tanks, but i think the T-29 can get away with 220+ pen if you tweak the stats to say .43 or worse accuracy, 12.5 second reload time or higher, and 2.5 second aimtime or higher....weakspot's are going the way of the dodo, so just giving the T32 an accuracy buff ain't gonna really do that much to the T32 when most tier 8's and up are weakspotless.  ...yeah yeah i know i'm a bit late to the party and you guy's hate topic revivalists, but i just had to say this.

The T29 is awesome and a keeper tank for your garage.  Buy it back. ;)

The pen def needs a buff. Honestly no heavys at t8 should be below a 210 at this point due to how bad the power creep is and I think even 210 is low as it is.

The console version gave the t32 a new gun that have 218 penetration if they do it like that they won't need to change t29 gun
