I was looking at my Garage and noticed how little I play German tier 10 medium tanks. I found this KPz-70 and thought it would be very welcomed in my stable given todays power creep making my German tanks underwhelming.What do you guys think?  I would love to open up this conversation.

This tank was in developement in the early 1960's. Many features of the KPz-70 were ahead of their time. The vehicle used an advanced hydropneumatic suspension system that allowed for fast cross-country speeds even though it was to weigh 45 tonnes (50 short tons). The suspension could be raised or lowered on command by the driver, down to put the bottom of the tank just over 4 inches (100 mm) from the ground, or up to 28 inches (710 mm) for cross-country running.

I am pretty sure the 1960's is still in the range that WoT tanks from.

West German variant of the MBT-70.  You wouldn't get the Shillelagh missiles, I can tell you that :)  Not sure they'd put the German version in and not the better known US version, but who knows?

It really isnt. Sheridan is from the same era. As is the STB-1. As is the Leo 1. And the AMX-30. Many tanks in game are from the 60s. And the MBT-70/KPz 70 dont even exceed the technology limit that the game now uses. (We havent had a year as a cut off point in a long time.)

~~~
Id like to see this tank implemented, but as the MBT-70 in the US line.
Your right about not getting the missiles but a 152mm gun would be pretty different for the German tech tree!
Both are true.. I noticed that myself while researching it.  It would seam to me that a transition to WoT PC would be a natural progression of possible tanks to come our way. *Fingers Crossed*
If anyone can upload a picture of it it would likely add value to our convo!  Thx, I tried with no success.
This would be great but the Ex Commies running this game will never allow a tier 10 German tank to excel.
Derp gun in a German tank is very weird.
The Germans were never very keen on the 152mm gun/missile launcher and intended to test the K.Pz70 with a early version of the Rheinmetall 120mm
Yeah it is a very non-typical potential tank for the German line, but it is very similar with the Sheridan line of derp cannons.  I really think it would be a great alternative to the German high tiers cause lets face it... there isn't to much besides the Leopard 1 available and that tank can't compete with the style of maps currently available in today's WoT.  I can only hope that after 1.0 is introduced that many more maps will be brought into play that will allow the Leopard 1 and light tanks to utilize their camo, mobility, and accuracy to justify their existence in their intended role.
Its quite possible to use the leo's strengths, its just hard. As for the kpz-70 idk, seems like its armor wouldn't be useful except vs heat. And the gun would probably be like the sheridans, low pen heat or HE. So meh.
