My PC specifications:
AMD Ryzen 5 1600X 6-core @ 3.6 GHz

MSI GAMING X GTX 1070 8GB

Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB @ 2400MHz

Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming K3 ATX

World of Tanks runs on a 1920 x 1080 resolution screen at 144Hz

World of Tanks 1.0 Common Test is running on a 3 TB HDD @ 7200RPM which is less than a half full, the OS drive is on a separate 2 TB HDD @ 7200RPM (don't ask, i built this PC 4 years ago and my budget at the time was low and yes my PC has upgraded since then) and the live World of Tanks is running on a 240GB SSD.

There seems to be a bug where even a PC like mine can't load in time and the battle timer has already finished. Some tanks and maps may not be fully rendered and some tanks may even be invisible. My tank especially wouldn't be fully rendered until after a minute or so. Some graphical effects may not be rendered in yet. Not sure why this is happening but this is definitely some sort of bug.

i am having the exact problem you are. load up test server and see tanks looking like clay tanks then i hear the game starting but i am frozen in place. 10 or so seconds later my tank all of the sudden will reappear somewhere else farther ahead.  this happens every game on test server as of yesterday. most likely some kind of bug, hopefully this is a quick (lol) fix.

Try running a program called defraggler to clean up your HD. The windows defrag doesn't seem to work very well so I use defraggler instead. it seemed to help with my HD speeds. I had to let mine run over night because it took 5 hours to complete. Here is where I downloaded it and it is free: Link

You can also download CCleaner from that link which can fix HD issues, clean up your registry and junk files. I use that one as well.

Defragging doesn't clean up your HDD, it put the information in order. Because of how HDD work, all your files are usually scrambled and fragmented across your disk, which for a disk with moving parts takes time to gather all the different bits of information. This doesn't happen with SSD because they have no moving parts.

Anyway, you should defrag it. It will speed up your load times. Still, the CT will take longer than the live server to load because:

  • There is more to load
  • You have the lighter client (live server) installed in the faster drive (SSD)

I periodically (once a month-ish) use ccleaner, superantispyware, and malwarebytes....good practice...

Responding to the comments on cleaning up HDDs, last time i defragged my HDD that the current world of tanks test server is running on (which is the 3TB HDD that is NOT my OS drive) was about a month ago. Plus, the HDD is pretty new as well. It contains my steam games and that only takes up about 500 GB of space. I think it can't be a hardware issue cause everything else on my HDD loads really quick. I have world of tanks EU and Asia plus World of Warships EU and Asia on that HDD and they load very quickly. It must be a bug in the test server client.

Assuming you have addressed most of the above (need or not) , a few other possible suggestions/solutions....

Insure all drivers are up to date

Insure that your game files are not corrupted (run the program that checks)

Insure that your gameplay connection and processes are prioritized (via Task Manager)

and the obvious -- Quit downloading porn while playing !!  (ok, jk.  someone had to go there)

Haven’t met a test server yet that didn’t have severe latency issues.

I've found that every update really fragments the files. All the ones involed in the update. With each update I might have 10-15 GBs of fragmented files, even if the update was only 2-3 GBs.

I always defrag after updating WoT

I've seen other people also have this problem now, this is 100% a game engine bug where objects don't load fast enough due to some error.

Hey guys, so I was having a major issue with getting into game late and rendering of tanks and mountains ets. In one game my platoon mate took almost a minute to appear on my map.

I have an awesome rig and it runs super fast. BUT I have an SSD for OS and PS and LR (Im a photographer) and I have 2 x 4TB HDD for images games and other programs.

What I did was move WOT to the SSD drive and its perfect now. I load in before the clock even starts.

My HDDs are designed for storage rather than gaming and I think that even with the fast CPU and Nvidia card I was limited by their write speed for initial loading. (not sure)

Hope this helps anyone else with the same problem.

I'm still having this exact issue, running an i5 6600k, GTX 1070 8gb, 32gb ram, almost always load into matches 10-20 seconds after they start. I have the game and nothing else on a 128gb SSD. Drivers are fully up to date

Here are some other settings that helped me solve this.

Rt-click my computer>properties>advanced>performace>settings>visual effects>adjust for best performance. You can check the drop down shadows for icons if you like. Click the tab for advanced> I had to change my adjust for best performance to programs.

Next go to device manager and find your nic card. Right click on it and look at power management. Uncheck the setting for turn power off. I have had servers that had his on and it caused them to be flakey since it intermittantly shuts off power to the nic when it is idle.

These settings are all normal to speed up your pc.

Hope this helps!
