It is dependent on your preferred play style.

^ This.  In all sincerity, a preferential matchmaking tank may work well, and if that is the case, might I suggest instead a tier 7?  The German Premium Medium Panther/M10?  A very nice decent beast.

If you like the T30 And T29 play style I say T34 should do you good. good punch and power it drive like them. really what you want for your main money earner.  Fast and loose or armor with pain giving.  Then there are some are just so out of balanced it not funny.  In all I honestly think you shouldn't give them any money these days do the imbalances It only promote there Pay to win greedy ego.

since dev said that they want to remove all pref mm prems and will compensate fully once they rework all the stuff, you could try buying one of those and play it until the rework...

A lot of things to consider, what tanks do you enjoy the most playing? which nation? almost any t8 premium will give you good credit making potential. I would consider the revalorise and its 390 alpha, t54 it's also a really good medium, HT the lowe. Just my 2 cents

The Super Pershing is a good one.  The Revalorize is also a good choice.

One thing I read that I find important is to buy a premium that will be useful as a trainer for your non-premiums. For example, if you play US mediums, get a Super P. If you like Russian TD's, get an SU-122-44. That way, you train your crews as well as generating extra credits. Plus, you don't need to buy a crew for the new premium. Sorry if this is obvious - it wasn't obvious to me when I started purchasing premiums.

Find your Favorite tank, buy a premium of the same class/nation

Disclaimer:  I'm not a good player, some like to describe my winrate as bot-like. I generally stick to tier 5 & 6 tanks because I can't afford the higher tiers.

About a year or so ago, WG had the Panzer 58 Mutz and the M46 Patton available for rent. Both of them were excellent tanks although the Mutz I think was a bit more agile. I usually came out on the plus side with credits. If those are available and you like mediums, either one would be an excellent choice.

T-54 mod 1, T-44-100, or any other fast medium should be good.

I just got the m4 ravioli as my first T8 prem and I've consistently made at least 20k+ credits in games where I've managed to score at least 3 hits on enemies, provided that I didn't use and premium rounds and my team won. It's a pretty big step up from my non premium T6's.

This.

If you plan to play mostly non-premium tanks at higher tiers, having well-trained crews are very important. And premiums are superior crew trainers. So choose your premiums based on the class and nation of the lines you intend to grind or play most so you can train the crews for those lines relatively quickly.
