Hey Tankers,

For those of you who want to kick off playing 1.0 as soon as possible we are offering a preload option starting March 15th.  More details available here.

See you on the battlefield!

FYI From The Link:

Commanders!

We know full well waiting for the end of an update to download and install on the release day is hardly convenient. Therefore, we have recently added the option to download updates in advance. As Update 1.0 is fairly big, the preloading will happen in stages:

  • Stage 1: Starts March 13

Preloading the update will decrease the load on the game services on the day of the official release. Having pre-downloaded the update, you will be able to join the game right after patch release without a delay.

Or I could have missed something.

issues...

Once downloaded, make sure you keep the torrents, to reduce WG's server load. :B

A pre-load mode? Do we need a code bestowed?

So....the last patch that you offered the pre-download on, I took advantage of the pre-load but the day the patch went live I could not log in and ended up having to do a full clean install of the program.   Hope this will not be the case this time around.

It's part of WG's "Game Center". If you have WoWS, you should already have it; otherwise, it can be gotten here:

http://redirect.wargaming.net/WGC/Wargaming_Game_Center_Install_WoWS_NA.exe

Then go to Settings (the gear icon) and select "Get updates before their official release".

I don't have WoWs and I downloaded from your link. It looks like I have to install WoWs from that link but I'm really not interested in putting a huge game on my computer that I'll never play. :(

You don't have to install WoWS, it's just the link to the Game Center application (which works for all WG properties). It'll probably ask if you want to install WoWS, just tell it no.

Again, go to settings, and check the box labelled "Get updates before their official launch".

Once again WoT fails miserably by NOT providing any links or an explanation as to where to find this AUTOMATED UPDATE app.

Don't know where to find it or how to get it. Typical.

It's completely different than that one I have that automatically updates all my WG programs for me.

The one I have has NO options to choose from.

I have WOWS & my auto launcher is on my TaskBar, but it doesn't look like the one on the WoT game site which show all kinds of options to choose from.

Mine is an Icon which shows the following links:

* World of Tanks

* LEARN MORE (This link does nothing)

* EXIT

It automatically updates my WoT, WoWS & WoWP to my puter whenever there is an update available which is very convenient but it has NO options to choose anything else.

Will this automatically update my system or not?

If WG was announcing the Zombie apocalypse & claimed to have information as to where to go to be safe, 99% of the population would die from lack of information.

Why?

Cause WG employs idiots who are incapable of putting up links that would actually show us where to go.

Every game, website, channel, or anywhere else online, you always find a LINK to what ever the subject matter is.

If you are seeking information, there is a link.

* Need directions? here's a link

* Need Instructions, here's a Link

* Go to any WoT site, NO LINKS... anywhere... to anything... just a note telling you how easy it will be & some other benefits IF you only had this program or app. & they SHOW YOU A SCREENSHOT OF THE APP.

Too bad WoT doesn't provide us with a link to this app so we can download it.

Are you all stupid?? Seriously, are you??

Cause I don't get it!

How can you tell us how to download early to save time & reduce the download traffic by checking off the following buttons on the screenshot of this special early download app but NOT show us a link to it??

I've never seen anyone put up vital information about anything without a link to get to said information or get more info until I began playing WOT.

I don't recommend getting the Game Center thing.  I got it to try it and I really didn't like it. It also has a third party program that I don't want on my laptop.  But, in order to revert back to the regular WoT game launcher you have to completely uninstall the game and start over from scratch.  Not worth it.

You don't need the game center thing to pre-load this update.

From the regular WoT launcher, hit the settings button in the upper right hand corner, hit the 'updates' tab, then check the box for 'Enable the download of upcoming updates'.
