Today is the bounce damage mission and i would like to know what T 8 tank i should buy (as i currently only have t6 as highest earned) that would have the best chance at bouncing shots. keep in mind im not very good at angling my armor (still workin on it) and would like something that can bounce rather easily like the t4 AT in the British line. I know it may seem like a waste to you but to me its another tank to add to the collection. I dream of collecting all of the tanks in game but sadly that is just a dream. but still dont worry about my finances. Any suggestions will be helpful! thanks!

also a side note i was thinking about getting the rudy. does it really come with a dog in the crew? if so does it actually do anything?

IS 6 is a bouncy beast. The dog in Rudy is a special bark for when Sixth Sense goes off.  It will also bark when you click the dog icon in the garage, You cannot take the dog out of the tank.

If your talking about T8 I would go for the Lowe, also you can take a look at the AT15a premium t7 TD.

Lowe you can go hull down and don't expose your weak LP

Of the heavies available in the Premium shop, either the Lowe (which also can make real good credits), or the Mauerbrecher (if your opponents don't know the hit zones).  Lowe from what I understand is a decent tank.  Mauerbrecher is super slow.

AT15A is tier 7.  Don't think it will help you with today's mission.  Do the vet mission, and you'll get the private mission done automatically.

T32 in hull down mode is the king of the bounce.  You can use VK 100.01(P) if you know how to side scrape.  You can use Defender if you know how to use W button.

Easy question first. The Rudy comes with a 0 skill BIA crew, which alone makes it worth it if you have Russian tanks. The dog can only be used in the Rudy I believe, he is the Radio man.

Now the tougher question. Tier 8 is currently plagued with facing tier 10s often. This makes bouncing in them difficult, before Premium Rounds are even considered.

The Lowe can be pretty bouncy once you get hull down,

the Super Pershing has pretty good armor, but decent players will hit your weak spots, also has preferred MM.

the AT15A is pretty bouncy at tier 7, has preferential MM, and is pretty cheap compared to other  premiums (and you can use your AT 2 crew)

the IS-6 can still pull off bounces, but it usually uses it’s tracks to absorb hits(afaik that doesn’t count as locked damage)

not sure if the mauerbrecher(misspelled that) is still on sale, it can bounce quite a bit given the right matchup.

Patriot (T26e5) hull down is definitely the best if that’s still on sale

British Primo Victoria is also alright, again if still on sale. Also has a unique crew/voice.

“Edit” I forgot about the T34, its hull is weaker than the Lowe, but turret is stronger.

most good bouncy tanks are in the tech trees, premium vehicles typically don’t have super high armor.

I see you already own the Defender and the Mauerbrecker. If you can't block enough damage with either of those, the other tanks you can buy won't do you any good either..

Are you talking about a heavy tank bouncing mission? I assume so, which limits the choices to heavy tanks.

My favorite bounciest tier 8 premium is the Chinese 112.

Op just learn your tanks armor model.  And  position and play it to it's strength.   Tank.gg. Is a good source to learn the models

Lol. Maurbrecher.  That things scary.....said no one ever

Defender should work.  If you want to buy I would maybe say the Lowe right now.  It's still viable at Tier X.

The dog in Rudy doesn't bark when 6th sense goes off unless you have certain modpacks installed.  He barks in the garage when you click him, that's it.

Also, he's not exactly a radio man like someone else said.. no skills or anything.

The other day I bounced 5600 hp in my VK 100.01P.  That thing is a side-scraping beast!!

I'm sorry, I have my wiseguy hat on today and all I can manage is:

It depends on how far you intend to drop them from and it's on a case by case basis.  I've seen a Chaffee bounce three or four times and it even landed on its tracks and ran off!

I'll raise you with my ELC Even bouncing a few shots.

With all the premium spamming from the top tier tank that don't need it, and do it they don't have to think. Not many tank will be bouncing anything nowadays.. best bet is to use the O-I at tier 6, play on the LATAM server where they might be bad, but they aren't brain dead goons like on the NA server that have to spew premium ammo all the time. they actually try to aim at weak spot for the most part.. :hiding:

The best tanks for deflecting shots are the tanks that are properly angled.

The below website shows all the statistics for all the tanks, including shots received without damage, (damage blocked) -

I agree. The AT-15A can bounce with the best of them. Corner hug hard and crank your gun all the way to the side and shoot that way. BOUNCE, BOUNCE, BOUNCE!!!

For a medium the premium M4A3E8 Thunderbolt VII can bounce shots nicely too!

The AT-2 can bounce a number of shots for a tier V Brit. TD.

The Rudy was one of the best premium tanks I ever bought. I only stopped using it because I later bought the T-34-85M, which is only a little superior.

As a crew trainer, keep in mind that the crew of the Rudy, because of the dog, does not line up with the T-34 and the other versions of the T34-85, which all have 5-man crews. However, the crew does match up with the higher tiered, 4-man MBTs, such as the T-54 and the Tier X mediums.

When the Rudy first came out the dog did bark with 6th sense, no mod needed. Was kind of startling at first. A few patches/updates later though muzzled the dog and hasn't barked in battle since.

Dang, beat me to it.  Rubber tracks does help though.
