I am tired of all the stat snobs who only care about how good you  play insulting and harassing players just because they're stats are less than great. I play to have fun but these people ruin it and 10 reports a day just wont cover it. is there some kind of block option? if not can one be added? if it is a mod that allows players to view stats can it be blocked? or just made illegal and punishable? this is our own information about us and i believe we should have the right to deny others access to it. I try to be a nice guy but after all of the automated penal systems in place i feel like a lot of violators get away scott free. is it too much to ask for a friendly team who is polite and supportive of each other? I just want to blow up tanks and have fun.

No mod can block it, as it's a mod pulling stats directly.

It's a big debate among players, and even WG as it would both break that mod but also break any type of stat tracking system a player would want to use, as well as make player-base stats less transparent.

There is an option in-game that you can use while in battle. What you need to do is the following:

Right click the name of the player, in the battle roster, that is being a snob and click [Add player to Blacklist.].

What this will do is place them on an ignore list and will block all communication between you and them; voice chat, general chat, battle chat, and even private messaging.

Currently there is no way to block these stats. What people use is a mod called xvm that shows a players stats in battle and this is collected server wide. While my stats are high enough that I don't get any problems with people giving me grief over stats I do remember being a red player way back when and once I took the time to find out how people where viewing my win8 I started using it myself. I no longer use it and havnt for a long time but at the moment it was a good tool to help me improve, I could see what the better players where doing after I died and try and work that into my own game play, and watch my stats go up. However there is sometimes too much insulting going on and that was why we lost the ability to chat with the other team. But really besides taking out chat all together its impossible to get rid of all of it, and lets face it sometimes people ask for it LoL

Some people play for stats.

Some people play to grind tanks.

Some people play to grind credits.

Some people play for entertainment.

Some people play to grief others.

Decide what you want to do in WoT and ignore anyone who tries to tell you to do it their way.

The devs did mention that they were thinking of a setting to allow blocking your stats from being viewed on the battle screen.

Stats during a match is all that needs to go. It shouldn't be in there and no one should be able to to automatically see everyone's stats.

Knowing when to push and when not to, who to bully n who to avoid, makes the game bearable for me. Without that knowledge the game is nothing more than a slot machine in a casino.

Why should some get an advantage from using an out of the game 3rd party tool that most people don't use? Seems like cheating to know what your coming up against.

The advantage is available to everyone, it's not like a select few have the option via purchasing it.

Just remember the difference between good players and unicums is typing in battle.

You will never see lemming rush or quicky-baby stop what he's doing mid game to tell you that you're bad.  Just block the stat w[edited]res.

I started stat padding so they would stop heckling me, but if you can't stat pad then just block them in-game and be sure to go to your settings and make it so you don't receive messages outside your contact list, this way they can't message you after game to berate you for stat padding.

btw Buster Keaton's 'The General' is my all time favorite movie hands down.  :great:

l have a solution.

Do better to perform well.  Have your numbers increase.  Be more proud of such accomplishments.  Have more fun, as you play.  Have less people be critics.

Well, the entire game is all slot machine/RNG especially if all you play are "random" matches.

But you are playing with information you are never meant to have, and the majority of the playerbase do not have. Nor should it ever be a requirement to get one specific mod to play this game.

As long as ingame stats is not part of the client, then in game stats is something you don't need especially in random.

Over 3,700,00 users so far have downloaded XVM. The stat exists on modxvm.com if you want proof. I am fairly certain that at this stage of the game, that is nearly half the population of this game.

So what. Until WG itself tells its players to get this mod, or implement this mod into the game, the information it gives in match is information you do not need.

in 2013 WG won the Guinness book of world records for having the most players on simultaneously in Russia which was over 800,000. Taking into account that it is 5 years ago and assuming the number of players grew not only in Russia but world wide that number would far beat out 3,700,000. Keep in mind that the record shows those who were on at that time. There is no account of the offline players. While I do not know the current number of people who play WoT I would assume the number you have presented is just a fraction.

I agree. This has been around for a long time but WG has not implemented it into their game like they have with the range circles on minimap. If WG has not implemented it by now then it should be assumed that they never intended on having the feature in the first place. The problem with this mod is it singles out players who are either epic good or below average in skill. This makes gameplay unfair and quite frankly difficult to improve stats when most matches most of the enemy team hunts you down first. Also there are too many variables for stats to be truly indictive of a players skill. Like Specter said it’s a huge slot machine. I constantly get paired with tanks 2 tiers above me when playing t6 7 and 8. As a result I come across a lot of tanks I can’t penn nor can I flank because of the terrain and location of other enemies. Most of the time I’m forced to fight head on which never works out for me or my gun can penn but it’s a t9 light that takes a fraction of damage because my gun is considerably weaker than his.

Only way to stop the stats padders and the so called Elites/unicum players that watch XVM. Is to BAN all mods by removing the mod folder from the game.

You don't really need mods to stat-pad but it would help cutting it down.
