So I finally got the tracking number and on the website it says "The package is being returned to the shipper." JUST WOW what the [edited]does this mean?!?!?!

Could mean you missed the delivery attempts, they had a bad address or package got too damaged in transit so they are sending it back to sender.

Someone needs to sign for the package, which is so odd these days when the value is below $500.  I know the drivers just dump packages at doors in my area all the time.

I think the reason you have to sign for this is because its a contest prize and so they need to verify your ID is the same as the name you put on the form when putting in your address. Otherwise anyone can claim your prize if they where to somehow know your real name and your address and then they can call Fedex to find your package and have it delivered to an address they put in instead of your own.

I never signed for mine, someone else did so they don't have my name as getting the package.  Which means anyone can claim your prize so long as they are in the right spot at the right time.  Also pretty sure you can't call Fedex and give them a name and address and reroute a package.  Only the shipper can do that and they need the tracking number along with some other info and to pay a fee.

I do not know, I just thought it was for security reasons since that is the only reasoning I can think of for them to require signing off for it.

I got my processor about two weeks ago, it was a i7-7700k.  As for difficulty to get, a lot of us here seem to have gotten no information from wargamming or intel as to any status update about the contest.  I recommend contacting your local Russian support staff for information on the contest.  Well try to contact them as the support staff in the na area seemed to have little to no information for us.

the fact is that our support is silent. Just not responding to our requests. About two weeks ago, they wrote that they had transferred Intel data and all and then silence.

Thank you for this information. Do you have pictures? BOX version or an OEM?

I guess it could be true that Intel has to ship the CPU's from the U.S for some reason and that would mean insane taxes for Intel so maybe they chose the slowest shipping method possible to save some money so it will arrive to you guys later than what they expected though why would a company the size of Intel care about a few hundred or thousand dollars is beyond me.
