I personally love my TOG, I play WoT while sucking back beers, usually till I get shammered. Tog prints money and funds my rather [edited]faced playstyle. /I have a dedicated crew with a percent away from 5 skills and rarely toon.

Benefits of a tog

1- your be the main focus of arty thus the rest of your team can move freely

2- your trumps Movable Wall you have aton of hp and you can crate a blockage in a ally with your dead corpse giving cover for 2 tanks side by side in a area that wouldn’t have any cover

3- the gun is actually good not much in its tier can handle getting dinged by this thing and if I’m not mistaken in a 1v1 if both tanks are always penning this tank will always come out on top in its tier I think.

4- your the land battleship make sure to take to your native habitat and go for a swim in the ocean there your camp the seaweed bush then rush out onto the beach faster then a whale washing up on the beach make sure your running aqua man as your commander and spec your crew into deep underwater diving gear. Also make sure there is no Japanese tanks on the other team they will harpoon your whale tank to death and then claim it’s for research but actually sell your dead carcass on the market for other Japanese tanks to eat for fuel.

Doesn't really serve a purpose. It's mainly for memes and lolz.

You also help enemies finish missions much faster. I have completed multiple arty personal missions thanks to enemy Togs. If there are a platoon of them on an open map its like Christmas day as a six year old.

Honestly, half the fun of the tank died with the removal of all chat...

I bought one today on Asia server because it was cheap and I haven't seen one in an actual game for ages. The lack of mobility means staying at home and defending the base is a good role for it otherwise if you try to go looking for a fight anywhere on the map, odds are the fighting will be over by the time you get there and you won't be able to get to the next hotspot on the map in time to see any action, either. Finding places where you can go hull down and only expose your thick turret armor is a strategy employed by experienced TOG commanders. Open maps are pretty much instant death for TOG's since the arty players see them as easy targets and will go after them first if they see them. Staying in places with a lot of hard cover to protect you from arty is a must on any open map. Also, if you see you are about to die, try to die in such a position that your teammates can use your massive corpse for cover or that blocks a narrow passage or street from being easily driven through by the enemy until they clear your corpse out of the way. It's going to take a powerful tank to be able to move it's own weight in addition to being able to push an 80 ton brick out of the way and they will be vulnerable while they are doing it.

Yes, it serves 1 purpose. Free XP when it's on the other team.

However when 3 of them are platooned, in a tier 6 match, rolling side by side. It's.... beautiful.

The removal of all chat pretty much killed this tank. It's more frustrating than fun these day.

Tog II is a perfect cash cow for the other team.

Well, Tog platoons are useless when the enemy team is full of o-is and kv2s

There is a right and wrong way to play a TOG, and you can do well playing a TOG, but at this point, its not really what matters. People play the TOG II because its fun, they like it, and they just want to laugh their asses off while crushing numerous tanks beneath 4200 points of steadily advancing health.

The TOG has a high rate of fire for a heavy. People tend to underestimate the damage it can do if you aren't paying attention because you're so busy laughing at it. It's also a good damage sponge and if you position yourself just right, you're corpse makes good cover for your team or can block a narrow passage forcing the enemy to find a different way around or making them try to push you out of the way to get through. The TOG is really heavy for it's tier, though, so it takes a lot of horsepower to push it out of the way. Finding another way to go is usually faster.
