because sometimes i manage to penn t95 front armor with my lowe (though its rare) and sometimes didn't (often)

EDIT: also t28 front armor is very weak i thought its going to be 250+mm? while even my IS can penn' its front, so where is this '250mm' located?

On the T28 only the small area around the mantle has that armor. Notice the massive lower plate sticking out below your gun. That's the part getting penned most of the time. When playing the T28, just assume you have no armor at all, because that tends to be more true. When you do get a bounce, it's a pleasant surprise. Either someone was too far away to aim accurately or had no idea what they were doing.

On the T95, the commander hatch, obviously. You can try the lower plate, but it's very small and almost impossible to see. There're also a couple of trianglular segments where the top of the hull meets the tracks. I've also seen shots penetrate the area immediately around the gun mantle. It's pretty easy to pen the front of a T95 if you're close or accurate enough. Honestly though, you should just ignore it or hull hug it. Circle it, even. By the time you see them, the rest of their team is usually dead anyway.

The gun mantlet. According to a video I watched, even tier ones can do 1% damage on every 3 shots.

That's the spot with all the armor.

the worst spot to shoot actually.

Brizone, T28 hit bellow the star on the front or on its commander view hatches. For the T-95 I would hit it on the sides and back of course as well on the hatch that does not have the Handel bars, there you might do between 250-450 depending on what tank you are in. But in General if all out fails use HE

Wait, woah, reverse engines.

The implication here is that the USA's T28  and T95 do not have the same armor???  How does that work. They're the same freaking vehicle, the T95 is just wearing the outer track sections like it's supposed to be.

Here's the kicker:

There's going to be ANOTHER one. The T28 Prototype. It's the T8 on the T30's line. It'll probably have different armor stats, too. The funny thing is, research on the T28P can lead to a crossover to the T28 on the second TD line that leads to the T95. Can you imagine that? Playing a worse version of the T28, then getting the T28 AGAIN? Then having to grind THAT to get to the T95. The research costs will probably be astronomical, too.

For some reason the T28 and T95 in-game are NOT identical. I would imagine that a 305mm frontal armor TD would be broken at tier 8, so I can't blame the devs for this. But to make it full of holes in the front is inexcusable.

T28: Hatches have close to 0 armor. Locust can penetrate. Otherwise, shoot the American star on the front. Need about 200 penetration, and under the gun is weak.

T95: Hatches have about 200-225 effective armor. T29 cannot penetrate except maybe 1/5 shots. Otherwise, the shoulderguards can sometimes deal HP damage but other times it will do a 0 damage crit. You need about 235 penetration to penetrate the underplate with regularity. Hitting that damages the engine. It is possible to set a T95 on fire by shooting the transmission plate, but I think you would be dead before  a T95 would let you do that. (It's only happened to me a handful of times)

Haven't found a spot to pen a T95 with my BL10. Tried gun, tried lowerfront. The triangles on the sides are usually too small to hit.

Hatches. Count them, there's two of them for you to shoot. :Smile-playing:

Where are they even located? I never get close enough to one to see.
