For those who are having trouble with modding in patch 1.0...

* ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR FILES ***

The most important folder in your World of Tanks directory is the res folder. "res" folder stands for resource, which is basically all the data for World of Tanks. If you are worried about modding, this is the main folder to back up.

Hey, sahm! I appreciate the callout! :D

Just to explain the scripts conflicts with Zorgane's sound mod: certain tanks have their gun sounds defined in their script which is also where the paths that define the model locations are also defined. I dont know if Zorgane still does it but he used to include (upon request) compatability scripts for remodels if they needed it. I havent used Gnomefathers in a long time so I havent kept up with how he runs things now.

Unfortunately the "installers" don't work with the MacWrapper, so you'd need to either get mods that are drag & drop into the res_mods folder, or perform the installation on a Windows machine and then copy the files over to the Mac partition and drag the files to the appropriate folders manually. However, there could be conflicts, so I would work on a backup of the installed directory structure, and work one mod at a time to eliminate any problems. I have done it in the past, but also ran into problems, so I haven't bothered to install any mods when playing in MacOS.

Good luck.

x.
