You can't make this stuff up lol. Tried to give some advice to a player after a loss because he made a pretty bad mistake, all I wanted to do was raise the average intelligence of the WoT population but alas, the pubby logic never stops amazing me.

Check out this hilarious exchange:

I find it hilarious but at the same time really sad that there are actually people that think this way.

He was the Strv74 in this match:

Spoiler

According to his logic if he hadn't gone to a bad spot to get farmed, he would be a hacking warpacker :teethhappy:. Because this game is not about positioning, trading, and predicting what the enemy is going to do kappa.

Aight, overall winrate prediction time. I'm guessing 47.2%  I would have went with something like 46% but he managed to do 400 damage from a bad position, which is better than a lot of players.

It was actually 51%, so I was surprised that he responded that way. But his most played tank is a tier 3 with 800 battles and 68% winrate, so your prediction of 47% is probably still accurate lol.

^..Yes. THIS. I don't see anything constructive or positive coming from this thread.

So what, OP..? You lost a game. You saw an under-performing player. Move on.

The fact that there's people in this game with no interest in doing better is just sad to be honest. It's more fun to do well than it is to suck. Pretty good motivation to learn if you ask me.

it isn't that hard to pad stats in a light tank

You want to play with like minded players who want to be team oriented make some friends and platoon or join a competitive clan. Other than that hitting the battle button is exactly the roll of dice they show as the graphic.

This may shed a little light on the ones with tens and tens and tens of thousands of matches but bot like stats.

You can bet that wg factors that into its game mechanics. :bajan:

You should re-read the first 10 lines of your conversation and try to take a 3rd person's perspective... You may see what appears to be insulting to the other person - calling him/her names and basically instigating the whole melee. While you may have had good intentions, I think you could have restrained yourself a bit more, especially because you seem to believe you were trying to help.

His/her response that triggered you: "Who are you? And why should I care?"

Your responses: "why are you getting emotional?" and "didn't realize you were mentally challenged."

IMO, this isn't the way to start a dialog with someone trying to help, and goes a long way to understanding the disparity between players regarding stats.

x.

Sounds like OP was the "emotional one".

Maybe take a deep breath, calm down and count to ten before offering such sagely advice next time.

And excellent detached non emotional perspective by xrays and others.

As far as the other guys replies.  You PM a random WoT player and you're actually surprised?

Talk about logic irony.

He didn't ask for you to message him after battle, if he had, then the results could be different.  On top of that, it's not what you say, it's how you say it.

I prefer to get better, but not all do.  With MM in it's current state, I don't blame them one single bit.

Looks like another self righteous wanker handing out unsolicited advice. OP is as bad as telemarketers.

Perhaps the OP is a WoT evangelist?

Forcing players to heed his unwanted and unsolicited "advice" no matter the cost.

I would counter to him that if he is so determined to "make" better players in this game he should sponsor them by creating his own clan, inviting them into it, training them, and providing gold as payment for their servitude to his immaculate conception.

If he instead thinks his unsolicited advice is mandatory to anyone then perhaps he could instead become a professional troll and try to use chat to get these players upset enough to curse at him. Then he can create a ticket and get them banned. Because it's obvious this game world was meant only for a master race such as his.
