The program is offered to customers based in the United States and Canada. Offers may change over time, and new offers may be added.

Only problem is the codes don't work on newegg.ca

I found out about WoT on Newegg back in 2011.

They advertised something like:

"Get World of Tanks free with purchase of  XXXX video card."

Get a free game for free!

Might have come with a new player bonus code too!

lel on that one.

But it did manage to inform me about the game enough for me to try it several months later.

Screw Newegg,  they just turned over all of their sales records since 2012 voluntarily to the Connecticut Dept of Revenue. Because Rotten-egg never collected sales tax  residents were just hit with a tax bill on purchases over many years plus interest and penalities added on     I'll never buy from Badegg again

There's no way to avoid taxes.

Do you really think they wanted to do something like that?

No, they were forced.

Or they would have been sued by the state.

Interesting.

Yeah, technically those purchasers were still required to pay sales tax on the purchases, but it looks like Newegg definitely didn't choose a good option here.

Though I did find this interesting from the article as well:

http://www.courant.c...0326-story.html

The company said it believed Connecticut had stopped pursuing the collection of sales tax on Newegg purchases as of March 19 and it would help customers who received tax bills after that date receive a refund.

“If you received a notice dated prior to March 19 and have yet to pay the taxes, we recommend that you talk to us before paying the tax,” the company said.

Maybe they learned something?

Just picked up a new one last night  MSI GE73 Raider RGB 8RF, the best part about it, the store guy behind the counter screwed up. It wasn't suppose to be sold or released unit April 18, the store manager accepted the deal and still let me have it.

Guess the upgrade took out a lot more older players then they planned. Well if it helps some of us rebuild so we can play good deal.

Another thread claims the newegg discount component items are not compatible with the CPU ...

I dunno - I'm not tech-saavy, so I have my machines built according to a general outline, and I approve components by consensus opinion at the time of planning.

Sorry guys, always a bummer when that happens :( Probably a stretch, but maybe you can try reaching out to Newegg's Customer Support team and see if they will apply the code to your purchase retroactively? Their CS team has always been excellent to me.

Oh, wow! That's odd. I'd be happy to look into this for you.
Apologies for asking, since I've never shipped anything to Canada before, assuming it's not possible for you to complete your purchase on Newegg.com then contact their CS team about having it shipped to you in Canada instead?

Personally, I've always enjoyed building my own PC. Tends to be a bit more cost-effective than pre-built machines, but of course some manufacturers have excellent warranty options, and you save several hours of labor on the assembly process.

I find it therapeutic, so I enjoy building PC's for friends. I always recommend checking out logicalincrements.com because they catalogue a bunch of different 'example builds' you can come up with in a variety of options and budgets. You might be able to go with some of their recommendations while picking and choosing some options from the Newegg promo as well.

I think this is very cool also. I checked the link this morning and 2 of the laptops are already sold out. Good for whoever bought them. Will this arrangement with Newegg be sticking around for a while?

personally, the desktop I'm planning to buy isn't gonna to be my final version. I will upgrade it down the road in the future, I know a few place where i might be able to find cheap intel i7 and the motherboard that goes with it. I not paying like 500 for both, I should be able to get both for like 200-300(Don't pm me about how to get it, I won't say. I will just delete your massage)
