I provided an answer, take less damage, deal more damage, less repair cost. Those premiums are also not "normal" premiums, they are not built around credit earning and as such have higher operating costs than your traditional premium.

There's 2 types of premium tanks: reward and purchaseable. The reward for the premium reward tanks is the tank itself. It's not common and accepts crews like a premium tank.
I guess that's all I got there? It'd be nice if those premiums brought in the ducats like the credit ones, but I dunno. Because Wargaming? No fun for us? I'mma go with no fun allowed myself.

But there are ways to earn premium time (the same campaign that rewards the tanks), so shouldn't the reward tanks be on par with the other rewards?

The StuG IV, T28 HTC, T-55A and Obj 260 aren't premium tanks as they don't earn extra credits and such, but reward tanks. So they don't have to follow the general trend of premiums costing less to repair.

The reward is the tank itself, not any premium benefits that come with vehicles that were actually purchased.
There are special vehicles which are earned through special events like clan wars (tier 10 ones anyways) or personal missions, which do not make premium credits and primarily exist for bragging rights and/or crew training. Everything else that has been available for gold or purchase via premium store have premium money making.
I, for one, enjoy my T-55A, my VK7201 and occasionally my T28 HTC. I lose a lot of money in the VK per game because it's a tier 10, but I find it a very enjoyable vehicle to play. It's not a scam, you underwent missions to get these vehicles and you were rewarded with them. Be thankful you even have the option to unlock them smfh

They AREN'T premium tanks, they are reward tanks. The only premium feature they have is the ability to train crews I believe. No increased profits, no reduced costs.

I have bought a few myself, for credit earning purposes, but I have earned most through on tracks and other events. And FYI for 4 years I was existing solely on my fixed VA income myself, so couldn't afford game time very often. I was trying to emphasize the fact that real effort was put into the reward tanks, not just having money thrown at it.
