How about this?  If a player fails to load, or never moves in or from spawn position (ie no turret rotation, barrel elevation, etc) they are not at home and cannot contribute to spotting.  You should not have your position revealed because you stumble across a tank still sitting at spawn base.

So for 14 players doing their earnest to win, you want to punish them for having an AFK?

This has got to be one of the worst ideas I've ever seen suggested in these forums.

^^^ This is the REAL whine ^^^

OP is butt-hurt because he flew like a rocket to what he assumed was an "empty" spawn and an easy cap or rear-area Trophy Hunt for Arty ...

And he got spied by a Spawn Camper ...

SURPRISE !!!

No sympathy here ... :sceptic:

Being AFK isn't always the player's fault.  Any number of real life things can interfere.  You want to penalise their team because circumstances have prevented them from playing as they're supposed to?  Passive spotting at least lets them contribute if circumstances conspire against them.

always treat AFK players as threats unless they are the only one left. They can spot for their arty or rest of their team while you park and pump shots into them. Leave them for last.

He has a point though. If there is no-one in the tank, how can it spot you?

No, he doesn't ...

Just because the TC isn't there doesn't mean other crew aren't.

Maybe the tank engine didn't roll-over?

Maybe they were late to the FAARP?

Maybe the TC is in the crapper?

If I roll-up on an AFK, I like to snuggle-up and use him for cover ...
