To whom it may concern,

So I just switched over from Console (Xbox) to PC for World of Tanks.  I have to say the change is harsh but at the same time so much fun.  For those of you who have done it you will understand the following.  There are many things that are different between the two platforms.  The first thing that I noticed, obviously, was the graphics.  It's so much better on PC.  I guess this has something to do with my graphics card (Nvidia1080).  From the macro to the micro its so different.  The landscape in the distance is amazing and the houses in front of you are so detailed.  It makes the game so much more immersive.  It's literally amazing.  I have no other words to describe it.

The next thing I have to say, with my limited experience, is the community is so much better.  I can't count the numerous games in which I had people encourage me and others to play better.  It's not a toxic community as other games are eg; League of Legends.  People help each other out when needed.  This is not always the case, but I see it much more and that is great and it keeps me playing.  If you are one of those players keep doing this.  Even when it's 5v1.  Cause of course we want that medal. Am I right?

Another thing that I noticed right away is the PC version is so much more less forgiving.  On the console version when you get detected its instant.  It's not a 3 second delay as it is on PC.  It is much more of a hardcore game on PC.  I like this.  It took some time to adjust but I prefer it.  There is less room for mistakes but that seems right.  It forces the player to be more aware of their surroundings.  In my opinion, it creates a more realistic game and environment.

Another thing to note is artillery....OMG! It's so much easier on PC!  The optional view point from an angle makes things so much easier.  If you play arty on PC be grateful.  I know that it was not like this always, but the fact that you have this amazing option...enough said.

The third difference.  Camera angles.  On console you are limited to a certain degree around your tank.  You are stuck and can't move out as you can on PC.  This helps you so much on PC because you get a better understanding of your environment.  You can make decisions way better on the fly and this does change the outcome of the battle.  Take my word for it.  Especially if you side scrap in a heavy.

There are numerous other differences, such as not being able to flip over after 10 secs, but I have to say that I like the PC version better.  I'm glad I moved over.  I feel like I'm being challenged, regardless of the fact that I don't have multiple perks on my crew.

To the World of Tanks PC developers.  Thank You.  You developed a game that is amazing and is appreciated by many who play.  Keep up the good work!  To the rest of the community that play, keep encouraging others to play better through your own game play and the positive attitude you display in this game.  It is much appreciated.  Roll on!

Qlessgamer.

Uh Oh, you just invoked arty, and said it was easier on PC than Console - and so . . . it begins.

But welcome to the platform, nice write up, and welcome!

Good stuff man.

Glad to see your move has been a pleasant one so far from console.

See you on the battlefield.

So young full of hope.  Buddy I've played over 10k games on Xbox and have 3 marked multiple tanks.

With all due respect, even by your own post that is meaningless here. The learning curve is steep, the vision mechanics are punishing, camo and how it works is life and death in this game if you don't understand it.

I wouldn't take it as a slight, he was just tongue in cheek about WoT in general.

OK so I did go there. Diesel you got me there.  I'm not a newb in regards to WoT, but I am learning the PC version.  It's a rough learning curve as Cog mentioned

Hey I tried Console  and sucked.  I'll take a mouse and keyboard over console controllers any day  If you can play that you should have no problem here.   Good Luck

You had to go there.  I don't know cause I've never played it on PS4; however, console is different would you not agree?

Challenge accepted brother.  I love PC so far. Especially with the light tanks.

A few forumites are sour on the game, some even hate it fiercely.

Just ignore them and their comments... or tell 'em to stuff it, whichever fits your personality.         :)

Tried tanks on a buddy's xbox, it was like going from chess to checkers.  Same with Blitz, there's so much less on those 2 platforms.

Welcome to the PC version, enjoy the lol-matterhorn-esque learning curve

Welcome, just don't forget it's a game, don't get bent out of shape over it.

Nice learning curve adjective. Personally I like "Hell on earth, devil rampaging in wanton destruction, disease and famine are rampant learning curve" - but you inspired me, so +1 for Ninja and creativity.
