Wouldn’t  it be the 3 that come with the tank when you buy it or unlock it?

This might fall into the best toppings category.

In that case, I'd go with extra cheese, bacon, and spinach.

I would rather have vents than GLD

For any med, rammer and v-stabs if you can mount them and then its always a toss up between coated optics or vents. Its pretty much the same for any med of any type at any tier.

My reasoning for the equipment choices is:

Rammer: Obvious choice. If you can take one, you should be.

V-Stab: Once again, obvious choice. If you can take one, you should be.

Then, for the third slot, you have a choice:

GLD: Not really a good choice in my opinion. The tank already has good on-the-move dispersion values and aim time, so GLD will only be getting you very slight improvements.

Vents: A decent choice. The small increase in all stats can be quite useful.

Optics: The best choice in my opinion, for several reasons. First, it allows you to self spot, which gives you more xp (you get all the xp for the damage you do. If you are not spotting the tanks you are damaging, then you only get 50% of the xp. The other 50% goes to the person spotting). Second, it allows you to play vision games, get the first shot advantage, and use your mobility and decent camo to spot.

So, my preferred setup would be Rammer, V-Stab, Optics. Rammer, V-Stab, Vents would be a second choice.

running rammer vertstab and vents with food.  Might drop vents for optics once I get the second crew skill to 100%

I went with the Usual Suspects, Vents, Rammer, Stabilizer, but I have also been kicking around Coated Optics....        With the Italians being so closely similar to the Leopard I Line, except for the Hull in the P44 Pantera, I have plans to go more Visual Driven in my Skill Picks....

On the Test Server I already started Plotting a Course and have yet to Try the Optics route, server waa down Yesterday and this AM....     But I have gone out with my Scouts as Back Up Support in the Tier 10 Mod 65, and they work well when Teamed up....    It just becomes a matter of what to Swap, leaning towards Stabilizer only because to see them First means Aiming becomes less of an Issue....

4TankersandDog?  (sp)  Did an extensive test on mounting Vert, Vents, and Gld.  With various combos.  He basically said  the GLD makes little improvement when with coupled with Vert.  Vert was the way to go.  GLD can be scratched off your list of choices.

Maybe go with Optics until you get your crew up to speed.

Rammer/stabilizer/optics remains the golden standard and there's no reason to deviate from it now. Being premium, you can afford to toucha the spaghett so that's the equivalent of also having double the vents' crew skill boost. And even if you don't run food, this loadout can still produce adequate view range if you max out BIA and situational awareness.

I swapped Optics in lastnight for the Stabilizer....     My View Range on a 100% Crew and no Skills is 438m....         I left Vents for the Additional Crew Bonuses and at present am at 69% on BiA.....

I made the Swap after having an Overall not Bad game at Tier 10 ruined by a 263 within View Range but still Invisible.....         I know chances are Slim i would've spotted him anyway, but it got me to thinking the Tank really needs Help in that regard right now.....

If you can run BIA, SA, Recon, and Food, you could consider Vents instead of Optics (for exactly 445 view range), and I would base that very much on your playstyle, otherwise, Optics, Rammer, Vstab it is.

Optics, Rammer, Vents until I get BiA trained.

Once BiA is trained drop Vents for Vstab.

This. Standard operating procedure with most mediums. Because dynamic gameplay and choices!

Still Optics, Rammer, and Vents with BiA at 100% and Sit Aware at 79% or 80% giving the Progetto 46 a View Range of about 460m....       At 438 it was nice watching Red Tanks looking Left and Right trying to find it, 460 is so much more Fun....

Next Skills I still have no Clue on though....       I already took the Typical Base 'S' Skills, but with this Equipment Set Up I could go Full Camo and still be OK I think....     Vision working with this Gun is Awesome, add Hiding the Tank as well, at present Stationary on this Tank Painted is 15% roughly without Firing.....

Basically, at this point, I'm not seeing a Reason for a Stabilizer just yet....

438m View Range....

460m View Range....

https://youtu.be/rQ3e5M45zPI

I just couldn't get enough of the 100Y to shoot him, that was my fault....

UPDATE....

As of this AM, and 2 Top Guns nearly Back to Back, I can say if you go Vents, Rammer, Optics and start the Vision Skills Early the need for a Vertical Stabilizer is pretty much Unnecessary.....     Not to say it doesn't have it's Uses, but the Bonus of Optics to View, the Addition of Sit Aware, and the Vents Bonus to Tank and Skills, it seems a Waste right now....     At this point I am also leaning toward Full Camo for the Crews 3rd Skills and staying on the First Strike idea...
