That will get you banned. Hmmm...or maybe I'm thinking of the laser aim direction thingy.

nvm lol

There is a similar version that is legal in Aslains modpack that only shows the turret directions of tanks that are currently spotted. This is information available to everyone (if you zoom out, or use teamspeak with an arty player).

The mod you liinked to does not specify that it does only currently spotted tanks, which would be illegal.

Why risk it?

Are you that desperate for an edge?

Incorrect.  It's included in several modpacks that are listed on the Wargaming mod site.  It's not flagged as illegal on NA.  I use it and haven't been banned, many hundreds or thousands of players on NA use it and haven't been banned.

The reason it seems to be acceptable is that it shows gun direction only for spotted tanks.  Information you get from your teammates if you asked them "which way is he looking?".  Legal.

If it's on that site, it's legal. That is WG approved mods.

Yes, because it’s realistic that all players could ask someone where the 5 tanks that are lit are pointing and process that verbal information.

So because it’s “available” it’s not really an advantage.

This encapsulates exactly how moronic their FairPlay “rules” are.

Under the Terms of Use for the WG Mods Portal:

Users have the right to distribute Mods which are not considered to be Prohibited ones. Wargaming shall exercise moderation of Mods uploaded to the Hub, and allow their distribution on the Hub at their discretion. Mods shall be distributed for free. Distribution of Mods on a fee-paying basis or against other material and (or) non-material remuneration is not allowed.

So the question is do you whether you trust that the MOD author has not posted a Prohibited mod as Wargaming does expressly state that mods downloadable the WG Mod Portal are not Prohibited.

It's simple. If it's a mod that allows you to see something that you couldn't see without its' use, then it should be considered illegal.

No the lazer shows exact where they are aiming this show the direction they are facing. Small difference I know and I don't believe in mods but if it's ok for WG then who am I to say you can't use it.

It's an advantage so it's  illegal , as it should be. It basically gives the same information as a laser mod which is illegal .       i wouldn't risk it

How about instead of worrying about being banned... play the game vanilla?

Do not download it . Better to zoom out so you can see whats going on around you , then zoom in when opportunity is there and move accordingly . Last I heard it was on the list of Illegal mods .

Sounds to me that since it's just using available information based on tanks being spotted that this is a mod WG could at some point put into their own game.   That's clearly seems like information radio operators would be sending back and forth to each other.

Hold right click. Pan the camera to watch and wait for the enemy to look away. It's that simple.

Unless you have hardware or dexterity issues that make holding right click impossible.
